About Hayato's Journey
Hayato's Journey is a SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis homebrew game that serves as an unofficial spiritual sequel to Kenseiden, a cult-classic SEGA Master System game.
It is the first full SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis game powered by the Scorpion Engine, developed by earok.
Story
Hayato is the last descendant of the Great Hayato, a legendary member of the Dragon family who fought against the evil Warlock centuries ago. During this battle, the Great Hayato recovered the five Secret Scrolls and the Sacred Sword of the Dragon King.
In this journey, the Evil Warlock Yonensai has returned from the Demon World seeking vengeance by annihilating the remaining Dragon family descendants. Armed with the Sword of the Dragon King, Hayato must traverse a land overrun by evil entities, warlocks, and wicked beasts to avenge his master, who was killed by the Evil Warlock’s minions, and to rescue his beloved Sakura, who has been kidnapped by Yonensai himself.

@@hackgameslongplaychannel Yeah, Bizhawk is awesome but i think it use an old picodrive/genesis plus gx core. I recommend modern picodrive, genesis plus gx or blastem, that is the best. Kega Fusion also emulate pretty well modern games (except if it uses mapper)

It really looks like a game that could have been released in the 90s on the Sega Genesis. That's a plus. Unlike many modern homebrew games that look like modern pixel games

I agree. I started playing it and the mechanics and gameplay were really good. The visuals also look like a Genesis game. Scorpion Engine has been really good for making Amiga games so it's good to see it doing well for the Genesis.

なんか色々混ざってるな。スーパー忍と忍みたいな構成でシャドーダンサーぽい面もある。後、1面の曲がタイトーの影の伝説になってる。 恐らく忍者ゲームを色々拝借してるんだろう。忍者龍剣伝や最後の忍道ぽくも感じる。ストライダー飛竜も入ってそうだ。後、ちょっとドラゴンバスターぽく見えるのは気のせいか？

​​@@billy6427not really. Also Scorpion engine which this game was made from is another MD/Amiga engine. The MD language input i think language C?? To learn to make games is alot easier to work with modern tools and to learn to make games the SNES doesn't use that Language too make games making it very hard too create games.

Master Linkuei actually turned it into a full game. He had made a what if version its on his page it doesn't look this. When ask if he would make a full version he didn't make it clear. I see why?? 😂 What he did make clear that he wasn't good at sprites so alot of the sprite work is burrowed from old 80s and 90s games with some from talented pixel artist who does pixel character game packs.

It runs off of the old Android system and it does some stupid crap and likes to autocorrect and even kick me out of apps that I am playing on. So it's not ironic it's just my phone being really stupid. I had vanquished but it took off the ed. Again not my fault I have a really stupid phone because it's really old. my phone runs off of a really old Android processing system. Some of the apps I have I'm surprised it even runs because of how old is processing system is. It constantly wants me to update this phone.
