how someone cannot be moved by music this good, must have no connection to their soul or something... trying not to cry like a baby.. but man, this is just beautiful. Must locate all his albums.

The first time I listened to his music is from Laputa when I was really young and fell in love with his music. There are depths in each notes and you can feel the flow of the notes which builds this beautiful piece of music.

those who love this music, i agree. The sad news is there are those out there who can't understand the feelings in music such as this, those who think they understand music like rock and row or rap understand nothing. Only the kinds of music can be found in these kind of music- I am a trumpet player in a band so I understand the feelings that are playing from music like Joe hisaishi.

You know what's funny? It seems American audiences are the only ones who scream, whistle, and whoop as well as applaud at the end of a performance. Recently I was at Dragon*Con at a Tom Felton panel, and one of the first things he said when he came out was "I love how you Americans scream!" (or something to that affect). I've been noticing ever since that audiences in other countries generally tend to just politely clap XD

This song is the theme song for a movie called "Shigure no Ki". The movie starred two of Japan's most famous actors, Tetsuya Watari and Sayuri Yoshinaga, in the lead roles. It is a sad love story for adults. This song was played in the scene where they walked along the approach to "Jojakkoji Temple" under the dancing autumn leaves. One of the main actors, Tetsuya Watari, passed away in August this year. I hope everyone in the world will watch this film.
