I love Jiaoying! Thank you for this episode Kati, as an east asian I felt related to a lot of things she said in her stand ups and in this episode. Asian parents, culture and beauty standards can be brutal but she is so strong, authentic and funny, what a warrior!! I hope you can make a part 2, this was so interesting and inspiring❤

Kati. Please please please and please talk about slut shaming and the trauma it causes. I was slut shamed by my parents when i was 17 because i had a boyfriend. I am 29 now and I haven’t been able to process that trauma. I feel hurt. And it’s not just hurt. Its like m bleeding and bleeding. I need to hear your thoughts i trust your videos and content. Please talk about it someday. Love your work and insights

She's absolutely gorgeous and inspiring. I'm amazed. How do we shake all the negative messaging from family and culture and embrace the more positive truth. Forty plus years later, I still haven't been able to do that effectively.

Oh wow! Tiger Queen has earned her fame and is so introspective. I love how well she articulated the differing beauty standards. As a Westerner, whenever she makes jokes about her ugliness, it's great comedy because this culture sees her as a bombshell. Thanks for sticking it out and sticking to your values and integrity. Inspiring!!!!

I turned off after she described people as ‘ugly bitches’. I don’t mind the language but it’s so unkind and unnecessary. I much prefer when it’s just Kati and questions. When there’s a guest I only listen for a bit but I tend to find the chatter boring. I know others like this style of podcast but I just thought I’d share my feedback

Yeah, that rubbed me the wrong way too. She comes across as arrogant here and other videos of hers as well. Just an utter turn off.
