When I watched Toilet Bound Hanako- Kun for the first time, I watched the english. I love the english, after I watched Toilet Bound I started watching Toilet Bound videos on KZbin. When I heard the Japanese version, I also fell in love with it. I can watch either one, I love the voices in both. Even though some of the voices sound completely different 😂😅❤️

I like both it captures the character well. In English he switches from a softer spoken to more aggressive gruff course speech which shows how his looks and his personality don't match but he does play into his looks and has a bit of an ego for it when he's feeling confident....but is also terrified of a lot of things especially with that intro I can only assume he's experienced plenty of unwanted uncomfortable male advances

When I first watched this anime, I was immediately able to tell this was gonna be one of those animes that was going be really hard to dub but in the end they were able to put their own twist in a few of the characters to make it really enjoyable. A big part of that was also having the dub really well casted.

I think they're both good for their own reasons. The dub has some good moments and so does the sub, their voices are quite different but both of their acting is very good. I think they did a good job casting the English Dub cast since if I'm being honest, and I'm sure many people agree, his voice would not sound as good if they gave him a girl VA. His voice in the dub is high enough to sound younger and masculine enough to know he's a boy. That's one thing a lot of weebs look past, the VA for him in the Sub (though good) doesn't really fit his character, his voice is way too high and while some people enjoy that, I think they did a good job with him in the Dub. They kept his high voice but made it a little more masculine and even a little lustful, kind of like how his character acts in the show.

I actually like both versions, Tsukasa's English VA is deeper but I feel like he still gives the childish, playful tone of the Japanese VA. One thing I don't like about the English dub is change in dialogue. They could have kept "Amane, Amane!" But instead changed it to "I missed you Amane!" Makes you wonder why.

Yes, I think the problem with dub is some dialogue doesn't fit in with the mouth lip sync, I think they should try their best to make the voice and mouth be sync and shouldn't change too much the dialogue from the original
