Just one of the best videos out there breaking it down. well done Clay

I love this breakdown. I have been on the water with a wing and foil 9 times at this point. Had 3 weeks in the gorge and now 3 weeks in OBX. I have done 300 plus jibe attempts and zero complete foiling jibe. Lots of roll falls, where i came close to getting hurt. I think i need to spend more time with the wing on the beach. I was staying upwind on the foil on my first day on a rental from north wave in hood river, I thought “this is easy” but learning to jibe has been a real challenge. Riding toeside is very difficult for me, I have been kiting for 20 years and riding toeside kiting on a twin tip or surfboard is very painful for my knees and hips so i rarely do in unless it is part of a transition. Having toeside skill would really help me make a jibe, it just feels so awkward for me on a wing foil. Im thinking of getting a balance board and practicing switching feet. Love this video and the footage, I was looking for footage of me crashing while i was riding at the event site in aug and sept, i would be a great example of everything a new rider is doing wrong, haha. great work thanks, NSW oz,, for me our season just started, hoping to pick up where I left it in May. Really helpful footage, you’ve put the process from beginner to expert all in one place.

So what's easier to learn on the jibe? Flat water and gusty wind or big chop and steady wind??? Thanks

Is it a good idea to fix theboard line to your leg instead of your belly ?

Personal preference, waist usually keeps me from stepping or tripping over the leash.

I kitefoul, but just got some basic winging gear. Question, once you are good would my small kite foil board with spotz foil work winging?

Hi and thanks! There are threads in the bay area wing foil fb group about places to learn, and I have a list of resources with maps here: clayisland.com/beginner-wing-foil-spots-in-the-san-francisco-bay-area/

@@mntheriault 👍🏻. Do these spots work during winter season as well? Looking for an alternative to my La Ventana planned trip, too many waves...😲

With the foil setup I am riding I am expecting a tip breach and want more leverage to compensate.
