You can catch Mahi out of almost any port in SEQ. Fishing the fads with livebaits or pillies is a pretty sure fire way of getting a few 🍻🍻

Really depends what you want to catch mate. I’d go a 2000HG for versatility. But if you’re going to be doing heaps of the deep stuff the 4000hg has more grunt and better retrieval 👌👌

Jigging doesn’t work in the shallow fishless waters off Yeppoon. Will need to head to SEQ to find some decent fishing soon I think.

Have you been to WA to catch our DHUFISH? (aka Pearl perch on steroids!) In certain places you can catch them 70cm+ in under 20m.🤯 Which is so much fun. 😍

What is the point of fighting the fish so hard and impatient as Dicko did? It looked like he pulled the hook on multiple good fish because he was not willing to give the fish one single meter of line and wanted it in the boat as fast as possible.
