Those are about the size I get at Suttle Lake in eastern Oregon. fun to jig for! and a little more frequent than trolling.

Yeah, it's always fun catching no matter how big or small the fish are in my opinion.

Chris, we used to fish the narrows there like we did fishing the West Arm of Kootenay lake. We bottom bounced with a single hook and 2 pink maggots on a 3 way rig, some times we would get white fish which put out a better fight than the kokanee. We also got trout. You have to time the drift thru the narrows when the flow is just moderate, not too much or you won't get to the bottom. Just bounce the rig as you drift, lots of fun. Nobody does this anymore but we always did this 30-40 years ago always got fish. We caught many Kokanee that my daughter would say , :what Kokanee for dinner AGAIN: now she wishes she had kokanee, none in Ontario where she is.

I wonder if this method would work ice fishing for kokanee? I love buzz bombs for rainbow and bull trout!

@@ChrisKingAngling Did you use a leader or just set up the buzz bomb as per usual?
