I love that I don't have to mess with trying to get my scope to stay in Perspective view.

Once in a while if it’s not calibrated it will not switch even manually. If you ever have an issue just make sure you calibrate the compass in forward view and it will resolve the issue.

My question, how do you find walleye on the bottom. I couldn’t see them until they came up for a jig
@HeathWagnerFishing2 жыл бұрын
In both forward and down you can see them. When they are glued tight to the bottom you have to pay very close attention to bottom variation. Most of the time you just see a bump in the bottom that is moving.

Sub. Cool footage, how deep have you tried this method? How deep do you think it could go?...

I have fished 80 feet jigging up Lakers with panoptix

Did you find it hard to stay vertical and pay attention to lure at the same time? Looks like it might help us avoid a few snags here and there too.
@HeathWagnerFishing2 жыл бұрын
Once you get a rhythm going it’s not hard at all. The Detroit River is the shaggiest place on earth!

How is down view on PanOptix different than using down imaging ? When would u use each
@HeathWagnerFishing Жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late reply, work has had me pretty busy. Downview on livescope is live. Down imaging has lag. Down imaging would be used for graphing basically the same as 2D sonar would be used. Livescope downview is excellent for fishing vertical structure. It is amazing at showing how big a fish is and you can watch them attack your lure.
@jeffmyers60293 жыл бұрын
Do you like down view better than forward view?
@HeathWagnerFishing2 жыл бұрын
Forward view is the best overall view for all aspects. I use down view if I’m fishing vertically or on top of deep structure. Down helps determine fish size and species a bit better.

How much was that particular setup? Do you need panoptics aswell?
@HeathWagnerFishing4 жыл бұрын
That is a Garmin Echomap Ultra 106sv. The graph and transducer of my setup will run you around $3300. Yes you do need livescope to see them like that.

How did you mount? Trolling motor or transom? I have just livevu mounted on my trolls barrel. Never can seem to get my jig to get picked up

Mine is on my trolling motor mounted on the shaft. It is the only way I like to have it.
