Full Boat Review - Metal Shark 32 Fearless Followed by Albie Fishing!

Have gotten a ton of questions anytime we filmed a video on Captain Rick Kohut's decidedly unique and very aluminum Metal Shark Fearless 32. the Blu J. I thought it was worthwhile to do a video review of the boat to give everyone a bow to stern overview of this great boat.
In this episode, Captain Rick's son, Jack, takes on a tour of this fishing machine followed by a false albacore trip where we all connect.
Most of the electrical work on the Blu J was done by Jack himself and he's actually the owner of Blu J Marine, a full service marine shop in Eastern Long Island.

It really is a great boat and I can't say enough great things about it's owner Rick. Case in point, crazy winds and tide today because of the storm and Rick went down to our dock, checked our boat was ok, and added some extra ropes for protection...without being asked. Great boat, better guy!

Nice man that’s what it’s all about. Can’t ask for a better friend then that and remember it when he needs something in the future. Went out to the inlet today and bounced around to pick a few small bass where I live out of barnegat inlet haven’t had good conditions in almost a month.. hope it get better soon

Enjoyed the boat walk through. In Pensacola or the gulf coast, we call those fish Bonito instead of false albacore. They can be a nuisance when fishing for mackerel. Fun to catch though.

Love the video, I wanted to know what materials are used on the floor and the top of the gunwales? It looks non skid or maybe like a self adhesive sheet? Great looking boat! Love your videos as well.

I reached out to Rick with your question: his response: Yes. Paint with nonskid sand for non skid.Jet-Glo paint.

Nice job. Enjoy all of the videos. Grew up on the island and sure miss the boating and fishing it offers. Question, besides the forward seating, any other reason you moved on from the Cobia? Very interested in a Cobia and welcome your option.

Hey Jim - thanks for the kind words. Our Cobia was an amazing boat - only sold it to start my charter business and needed something a little bigger, faster and without forward seating. I actually spoke to Maverick (Cobia’s parent company) about building me a 301 or 320 without forward seating and it’s not an option. From a value, features and ride perspective, I think Cobia is the absolute best brand out there. My humble opinion as a prior owner.

@ gotcha! I can’t remember the second one. I’m chartering full time so my trips on Rick’s boat are limited now unfortunately. The ocean fluke fishing last year sucked so I think Skinner fished way less than usual with Rick

If it’s cold out, we are already dressed for the conditions. Additionally, full windshield provides a ton of protection....
