How do you go about mixing this beat when your sounds are near clipping?

This is just the beat session. Even though I somewhat mix when I go, when I'm working on a beat I'm just going with the flow and gainstaging is not as important as getting the idea down. As long as it's no distortion going on, its fine. The mix sessions levels are totally different though. I'm gone do a video on gainstaging pretty soon too.

To be honest, I didn't really do anything special. Is yours showing up in ProTools? If so, are you able to control your midi instruments with it?

Amir Perry I can get it to play instruments but you have Protools synced to yours in a way that seems to use the Mpk more like an mpc

There's a way with elastic audio in pro tools. I don't have a video for it but Google elastic audio for pro tools and it should show you how. It'll let you stretch every loop how you need it and let you change the key of it if you want to. I use it sometimes to force a loop to fit.
