He is actually doing the hard part first…that’s easy to do if you rock with the metronome like it’s your best friend.. that sample was nice should be easy for anyone with a good ear to build on it. Excellent job AP.. I cook similar to you but not in Pro Tools just yet.. came up old school with a midi keyboard workstations, new to the Daw workflow but I see how it will save so much time moving files from a keyboard work station into a DAW.. why not just record it right into the DAW..pro tools in the first place. I find it interesting that you compose the drum part backwards compared to so many others I see. Most I’ve observed start with a kick and work toward the hats. You reverse that. Sure works for you though! *edited because typo

Yo, that was dope! 🔥 I'm still trying to figure out how you set up your tracks. I see you have each of your drum sounds on a separate track, playing as MIDI. But I don't see a plugin on any of those tracks. Are each of those tracks instrument tracks, or is the battery plugin on track 1, feeding all of the others?

Yup. 1 instance of Battery bussed out to 16 different instrument tracks. I have a video on it called how to route Battery in Protools. It shows the full breakdown.
