The American people wanted Bernie Sanders, but he was shamefully sidelined and cheated out of the nomination. We ARE fighting on, the 99% are coalescing and vowing to make REAL CHANGE, but whether that will happen with Jill in this election remains to be seen. Although she has run for President before, and Green Party is well known to long-time activists here in the US, they are unknown to MOST people, and we have only about 88 days now.

All of mainstream is now owned by the greedy rich who want to repress and denigrate the best options for the 99%. Plus often the interviewers are making millions per year and can be greedy and selfish themselves, not wanting to pay the same tax rate as WE do, because they think they are superior and should keep their low, low rates that the rigged system has allowed. smh Mainstream no longer has 'reporters', they have puppets. Just as the US media denigrated Bernie Sanders and diverted focus in EVERY WAY THEY COULD, they will do the same to Jill Stein (but not to Libertarian Gary Johnson, who favors policies that continue to give to the rich, take from the poor). I believe the BBC did the same to Jeremy Corbyn. WE MUST KEEP PUSHING and KEEP FIGHTING. Some politically connected have said that the powerful 'are on the defensive' now, and that GLOBALLY 'the elites are on the run'. They see us coming for change, we must keep them running!

His mentality is that of many Americans, so in a sense, her answers are for many Americans. Those are the questions she needs to answer, and she did it so well.

The interviewer kept stating that low poll numbers make Dr. Stein irrelevant. The same criticism was used against Bernie Sanders only a few months ago. The precedent is that Bernie gained massive support and rose in the polls to become a serious contender without establishment support.

Absolutely - I have noticed for over a year that BBC is now parrottng US mainstream in attitude and repression of real information. I'm watching this for an ethics assignment right now, seven years after this interview. I'm just very impressed at how she stands her ground and doesn't let the reporter talk over her or interrupt her. She just keeps going when he tries to interject while she's clearly not finished. it's like he's *trying* to catch her off guard and make her sputter.

There is minimal media coverage of alternative party candidates in the USA, usually whenever there is, the media treats them as amusing fringe loonies and rarely back them or any of their policies. In 2000, it was not Ralph Nader who caused George W. Bush to win. Ralph Nader got a small part of the vote; but, there were many Democrats who did not vote or voted for George W. Bush. The problem is the types of candidates the DNC puts forth. In 2016, a huge number of voters wanted Bernie Sanders to win. But, there has been evidence that election shenanigans have taken place to minimize Bernie Sanders. The most important thing to remember is that the Green Party is the only national party that is not funded by corporations.
