Your talk of planning; of thinking something out SO much that u just no longer want to START..? I’ve never put it to words before but that is *exactly* my big issue!! Totally hear u! That is the biggest joy i get from painting: i have to force myself to just START. Just pick a color palette & GO! (I’m such an unskilled perfectionist that any kind of plan or goal only spells doom! 😂)

Very pretty paintings. You choose such cute places to paint. If your paper is slightly wavy upon completion, you can flip the paper over on your counter and spray water on the back of your painting with a misting bottle and weigh the paper down with heavy books, etc. and let it set overnight to dry and it dries flat. Works for me.

Loving your long real time films, I find them almost meditational! I am so tempted to ' have a go' but colours have never been my strength, being red/ green deficient in my colour vision. You explain it all so wonderfully. Thank you.

I really prefer the longer format “real time” videos as it helps with learning and understanding techniques that I’m not familiar with and might want to employ in my own work. If I get to a point that feels redundant I just fast forward over it. The live thing might be fun but really wouldn’t change the way I consume your work. If it seems intimidating to you just keep doing what you feel comfortable with. You’ve been very successful with your current formula. Thanks again for all the work.

Fully agree with most of your “short cuts” like leaving out the complexity of tables and chairs. It might mess up the whole painting and put too much weight in the “wrong” spot.
