While feeling different from others growing up, Jillian didn't learn she had autism until high school. The diagnosis opened up a world of acceptance she hadn't felt before. Shortly after her mother got her connected to Corvilla and Jillian found her creative outlet, her mother passed away. "Corvilla helps me live my life independently, as I wish to do. They've meant a lot to me. They've become like my family and embraced me, and helped me to get my life back."
About #autism, Jillian says, "An autism diagnosis is not a death sentence. It's a lifestyle. Please treat your child like a regular human being. We're just people. We have the same thoughts and feelings. If you have autism, a life is possible. You just press on and it's going to be okay."
