Exactly. I feel a LITTLE bad because he probably got caught up in how his family looks from the outside and trying to look like a God honoring family in every aspect, so to have a child do something like this is a shot to that end. But He has to realize he’s not perfect. That being said I will admit I’ve been through traumatic events and literally blocked things out. I’ve seen evidence of the trauma( I’m disabled since birth so thankfully I was never physically abused) but I’ve seen like cards etc and I was apparently fully conscious but I have no memory. I’ve seen other things non medical related I was on the sidelines watching and I blocked those out too. So it’s possible he really doesn’t recall. Idk only God knows his heart. Either way we are called to extend grace and love to all. Like Jesus did on the cross. Hopefully those in the family who are blinded will one day see the truth and repent. I can’t sit here and say I’m perfect and neither can any of us.

2:23 What is mind boggling to me is when you consider that Jim Bob was in the Arkansas House of Representatives in the 1990s. There he took a very hard stance on sex crimes like rape and incest. It came up in his stance on abortion, that he said the perpetrator deserved capital punishment not the fetus. Then completely went against that to protect his eldest son… but really probably to cover his own behind.

First off, Josh’s crimes have nothing to do with the Duggar’s beliefs. All of their other sons who were also raised the same way are NOT sex offenders. Josh is responsible for his own behavior as an adult regardless of how he was raised. I am not sure why this was in the documentary. A court of law found Josh Duggar guilty, and I am assuming he is until I see evidence that proves he is not. I pray that he repents of his sins and makes amends to society. Please pray for Anna and his children too. I pray that his parents will stop enabling him. They need to tell him what he did was wrong and encourage him to repent. I pray that they will have the courage to see the truth in him.

Well, where you’re wrong is his father covered for him, forced his doormat of a mother to go along with it and then made his daughters “forgive” and continue to serve and be around their abuser. If they hadn’t been IBLP and the wife and daughters weren’t “ under the umbrella” of the father they could’ve possibly gotten justice. IBLP bred a narcissist that preys on children. IBLP bred weak terrified women whose only was to get the husband off, have babies and manage the house.

@@codename495 I would not go so far as to say Jim Bob and Michelle support Josh’s bad behavior. You simply disagree with how they handled it. Unfortunately they still love their son, despite all of the bad things he has done. They did send him away to a camp to do hard physical labor and told him what he did was wrong. As far as Jill publicly saying that she forgave her brother, I feel that she is telling the truth. This happened more than twenty years ago and Jill has gotten over it and moved on with her life. Jessa was there too and she talked about it once and never spoken of it again. You would only be satisfied if Josh was sent away to prison for life and his family completely cut hm off. Perhaps he would also need to be executed for his crimes, even after showing remorse. In your world, people should be continually punished for their worst sins because redemption and repentance is not possible for them.

Oh I grew up in the same life style only it was muslim . The women and girls always had to wear dresses and cover their hair with a scarf or hijab . ive seen muslim men as old as 40 who get promised to marry a girl as young as 9 years old. These people were on air promoting their way of living as superior and making robocalls against the LGBTQIA. The story was news worthy in ways a lot of what passes for news isn’t. It was information the public needed to know. If her parents hadn’t used their own family to push their beliefs on the public, then public wouldn’t have needed to know. I think it was more-so that these events were so traumatizing to her she is tired of reliving being molested. Not only that, but the whole world knows about it too... Jill was not ready or okay with the whole world knowing her darkest secret, and her deepest trauma. So I'm sure she is upset it keeps getting brought up and is angered that the whole world knows when she was promised no one would know. My point is Jill wasn't covering it up here to "look more Christian" but rather she is very hurt in so many ways. You are right though that this issues needs to be spoken about because silence is why this stuff keeps happening. If only victims felt safer so they could share their story and not fear judgement!
