He didn't say anything vitriolic or harsh, just what Brian was telling him how he was feeling. But who cares, AC/DC should just end already. It's just sad.

I bet he can pull it off in a full concert with those guys.He can fool the audience that Brain is feeling better. No offense to Axl but Axl's voice does not fit with AC/DC

I can't understand how someone can think that Brian's voice fits AC/DC and Axl's voice doesn't. Their voices are quite similar, they are both ass kicking screaming voices

I went to see Axl/DC and you know what. It was amazing. He didn't show off. He didn't say much. Just got up. Sang the songs with a lot of heart and effort. And it sounded cool. Said how honoured he was and how much he worships the band and that was that. He looked stoked to be singing for them.

I don't think Dave could handle an entire set singing in that range, let alone the rest of a tour. That is not his natural singing range. It is Axl's. That is one reason he has the gig.

I've never been a fan of ac/dc but I do respect their impact in rock n roll. What I do like about them is that no other band sounds like them and Brian's vocals are unique and unmistakable. My generation was the early 90's, my all-time fav band is Nirvana. Back then if you were a Nirvana fan you hated Pearl Jam and if you were a Pearl Jam fan you hated Nirvana. That's how it was in my school anyway. As I've gotten older I've gained zounds of respect for Pearl Jam and looking back I wouldn't want a 90's era of music without them.

Maybe Mr Breuer had some problems with his hearing not Brian. I like dave grohl but i disagree that he is a good choose for AC/DC. I hear Axl With AC/DC in Hamburg. This guys had much of fun playing together. Axl did a great job for ac/dc. I will go to the final Concert in Düssedorf too. And yes, I pay every cent with pleasure for such a performance.
@tommurrayGTR
@tommurrayGTR 7 жыл бұрын
If AC/DC had transposed their entire set to fit around Grohls range, maybe? Outside of that Dave Grohl could not handle the AC/DC set, and I think he'd even agree. Also, say what you want about Axl but he has the range to cover the material in it's original key and does it stylistically appropriate too, and he is a huge fan. I would have liked if Axl said something during the shows about Brian, but I'd guess that he was asked not to by the rest of the band (namely Angus).

That being said Dave would've done a great job bringing the energy and the compassion, but I know Dave would not want to lead ACDC. But goddamn I would love to see Dave front ACDC.... FUCK! David who? I think Axl kicks ass! He's so great! they're like: david grohl did so much for music... I think that Axl has done much more as his influence on younger people is greater (at least in my experience) and I saw AC/DC with Axl and it was a real blast! And also Axl pays a lot of respect to Brian, he said he would do it for him, the band and the fans, he overall put down his "Axl attitude" for AC/DC and it really shows. I think it was a great move my Angus and co. and that when there's not Brian to rock the house, I'll stick with Axl at any time!

he was already cracking after like 10-15 shows. he isn't bad, but definitely not AC/DC fitting. first of all - his natural ego (yeah, yeah, he might seem changed with his good talk in interviews and stuff, but that just for the public image), they way he dresses, walks, talks ,etc. AC/DC is your average guy, blue collar band, like they always have been, including Brian. not somebody dressed like a scruffy bum. as of vocals - again, not really bad. but he doesn't have the groove, bluesyness and feel to his voice as Brian had. he could hit his notes (at the beginning of shows, not anymore really, he's struggling already), but that's it. a lot of times he sounds like quietly screaming cracking cat.

Axls voice matches Brian Johnson way better than dave grohl and besides that, you'd want dave to fill in just cause he'd make a bigger deal of the situation? Of the fact that he's filling in for Brian? Axl stood up and did a great job and recognised what that meant that Brian couldn't be there and that should be enough in my opinion

Sorry Breuer, but I have to disagree... Maybe you've met all of them, but when you you really give it a thought, who does really deserve to be up there with Angus and won't be disappointing, but instead will invite even more people to see them (this has never been definitive, so...), Axl has loved AC/DC since forever, even covered a couple of songs, he is/was the leader of one of the biggest bands of all time, "Back in black" and "Appetite" are always at the top of the Hard Rock All time favorites... Axl deserves it and have the voice for it... a perfect mix of Bon Scott and Brian Johnson... But if Lemmy would have been here... that's another story.

meh. He said Brian had called him and told him this long assed story. then he backed out saying it was just banter. Acdc took Brian on because he was like Bon S. in voice and could sing the catalog properly. Axle is now filling the same roll I'm jnot an Axle Rose fan by any means. However, he does give the fans what they want to hear on stage. He singleton falsetto as they do. This is not rocket science. Acdc is doing the right thing by keeping their tour alive to not bail on contracts and the fans. Now, if they decide to record a record with Axle then the conversation will change. But at the end of the day they wont change from that style voice be it from Axle or Chris Cornell. etc.

Axl was perfect!! Having seen them in London the other day I struggle to see how they would choose someone other than Axl

They should've gotten Jessie Dupree from Jayckl! He sounds like Brian Johnson.

Weak ass argument for Grohl to front ACDC lol I reckon, Axl Rose sounds better in ACDC than he has when performed for The Gunners in recent times.

I'm sure he's a nice guy but I always found his music so boring I'd hate to fall asleep at an AC/DC show.

Sure, David Grohl is a great singer.... If he hadn't been in Nirvana the Foo Fighters would be another unknown mediocre rock band. Axl does AC/DC justice! Fuck the haters! kzbin.info/www/bejne/epKxmXSIh7qNa6M

After 21 years of releasing albums that always outsell the previous ones (including a recent #1 record) and selling out stadiums around the world, I do not think you can make the argument that the Foos have only been internationally successful for over two decades because Dave played in Nirvana for three-and-a-half years. I like Axl, though, and I actually think he seems like a good choice for the AC/DC crowd. I also think Dave would do fine; you and I both agree he is a great singer. People in these comments, however, are acting like Dave is a teenage pop star.

Jim Breuer is the man, but I have to disagree with him on this. Dave Grohl...? No... just no.
