The guy does a brilliant job of describing the way you suffer as a human being when you’re in a toxic environment at work. It’s beautiful to see he kept his integrity. And all the respect to his wife for being supportive yet tough “look at you, you’re miserable… this is not Jim. Where’s goofy uplifting Jim” All the respect for his honesty. I bet there are people that this helps them feeling like someone else knows that sort of misery but got out of there & how good it feels when you look back knowing you’re ok now

Honestly while watching Jim Breuer go through the pains of working in that environment at SNL I could relate.When you show up everyday and you look around to people who are so sullen , barely even socially aware, just ignorant ,that is my current reality at work. Jim did a meet-n-greet at my record store promoting his album (on Metal Blade records). He was so nice to everyone that came in. Told stories and was so personable. I had 4 tickets comp'd to his show to give away at the MNG but he gave me n my wife two tickets for ourselves. He also sent a msg to meet him after the show and he thanked me n bought me a beer. Just insanely nice. Thanks Jim. Fuckin class act.

I met Dave Foley once on the set of Kids in the Halls "Death Comes to Town". My son was the baby that played baby Ricky/ the test baby in the abortion clinic. Dave made a special point to personally come meet us in the trailer, make sure everything was great and the crew was treating us well, and then held my son for about 2 hours as they set up just to get to know him. It seriously doesn't get nicer than that dude.

To me, it goes back to Tina Fey pushed up the ladder while an NBC big shot bullied Norm out of SNL over OJ Simpson jokes. It's always been political on SNL. Chevy Chase admitted they were all liberals using the show politically, actually trying to affect real-world outcomes in US elections. I'm sure it's always been like that. You're in a business with tons of individuals who have giant egos, then there's favoritism and kissing ass. I agree. I personally can't stand it when people do this ish in front of me. Joe held it together well considering the confined space, volume, and his own hot head. It's transparent tough-guy bravado with a captive audience and it's gross. I love Jim, feel his pain from the story, but still, this is insane and rude especially while they're mic'ed. In the end, you are screaming at the wrong person and you probably didn't even yell that loud when you wanted to, so quit your bs and maybe smoke more weed than you do.

I actually went to Dan Gables wresting camp when I was 10. Him, Tom, and Terry Brands were awesome coaches. Not only did it make me a better wrestler it gave me good fundamentals and a lot of discipline that I still use in every aspect of my life. Really cool to see him on Joe’s podcast.

If you're ever driving or just have some time to yourself, you can the absolute best Breuer stories are of him on Opie and Anthony, ones called Pizza Man (about his mafioso neighbor) the and his crazy elderly mother secretly abusing his father who had dementia, whom had to move into Jim's house whilst his mom lived alone but had like day nurses /maids over. Sounds dark but Jim's so funny and has a heart of gold.
