“There is no one suffering who isn’t a part of me. There is no one excelling who isn’t a part of me.” Jim isn’t a guru or a lunatic or a star or a weirdo. He’s just a person-here now, like us, for a very short time-who decided to work really, really hard at figuring out who “he” is only to discover he’s truly no one. And everyone. Just like me. Just like you. Just different for a blink in time. That’s all. That’s enough. Nothing to fear.

Jim’s been committed to transcendental meditation for years and he himself in this interview speaks of an awakening he had while playing Andy Kaufman in “Man on the Moon.” His work over the years has pointed to his own personal growth, seen at times through the personas he has portrayed on the big screen. Carrey shares snippets of an esoteric world that entheogenic shamans and great yogic siddhis have attested to. I admire this man so, for his humility, his perseverance, and for his ability to walk the line, while overcoming the stigma in the public eye.

Coming from a analytical psychology background, and seeing the truth in symbolism, mythology, fairytales, etc- I always told my son there is more than one kind of real. Beautiful, beautiful, interview. Jim Carrey seems to be willing to go into unsafe places, self-investigate and then share his findings, pointing in the direction to the playful, fun, ever-unfolding, ungraspable reality. From about 8:30-10:30 reminded me of a statement from someone who meant a lot to me: Shedding the bullshit People are not so keen to shed all the bullshit they have accumulated. The image. The reputation. The opinions. The viewpoint. The politics. The money. The possessions. However, the very things that we hide behind and cling to so desperately are the very things that blind us from reality. You don’t empty the mind just to lobotomise yourself; it’s not mindlessness. You empty it so that it can be refilled by what you’re experiencing. It’s empty of the chatter, it’s empty of the neurotic anxiety, it’s empty of preconceived notions, it’s empty of opinions, it’s empty of politics, it’s empty of social conventions, and if you empty your mind of all that, it’s a cleansing process. Then you can allow it to be filled by the true experience of what you’re doing.

I am not a big fan neither anti, but the few bits i saw of him in interviews, it sort of seems to me, he is just assuming the same stare everyone is having when meeting him - i guess a lot of "stars" meet that sort of stare and everyone deals differently with it. It is probably the most powerful way to throw people who are insecure how about to deal with him off balance (when you're also as insecure ^^)

Joseph Campbell always insisted that the apocalypse was not going to be about planetary destruction but an awakening of humans to the actual 'heaven on Earth' that is here with us all the time but we can't see it. Just like it's been told to us - but differently. Heaven is on Earth, we just don't see it because there's so much shit to sift through also. Let me say here he also did not believe in a personal god and dropped his childhood "faith", seeing its childishness, before he was 20 and never looked back. He spent his whole life researching and gathering all the myths (as metaphors, not "lies" as The Church insists they are) in the world, and found most of them, yet this was one of the few bits of the bible that he found comparable to the much older myths that the bible is based on. Most of those were warped to be about warmongering retribution but this one stayed true. Jim Carrey has nailed it. He sees this heaven and the endless possibilities of our spirits' universal creativity that go far beyond the confines of these water bags we've chosen to wear for a blink in time. This is the best interview with him so far that I've watched. Thank you, Trevor - you do have a gift of getting to the heart of the matter, of opening the heart of others to speak their truths.

This isn’t being deep. It’s completely absolute useless garbage. Being deep is connecting with your inner most self & seeing true worth. Being deep is taking the path to serving others because the path to self is a never ending road of misery and empty promises. These people do not serve other people. This guy only cares about him and only him. This shit bag advice he is giving you ISNT at all positive or soulful.. it’s damning to the potential we have as human beings. You have no clue what we are capable of. At one point we used more than 45% of our brains.. we were unstoppable. Now we use 6% of our brains that is because we cut off the number one most important thing to human growth and brain development & that is meaningful connections to other people.. social environments are extremely important to our brain muscles 💪. Once it was replaced with artificial connections we stopped massaging the muscles and started dumbing down everything we did, we lost most of our intelligence. I mean we can’t even make any sound of body choices for our selves with out the tv telling us it is okay. How fucking weak is that. You have this crazy ass man on this completely one sided mans KZbin channel.. who hasn’t had a normal conversation with a normal person in over 20 years. He would rather go in the woods and yell at trees chanting “ I AM NOTHING” over and over again then actually try to function in the real world. That’s so telling sweetheart. If you say in a room with this person.. no cameras.. no talking points. I promise you after your absolute nonsense star struck actions.. start to fade away, you would quickly see how weak and scared this man is. He had no self confidence. He tells you that to keep you hooked. Constantly needing to “reinvent” to keep you entertained. No ones life is this exciting. It’s a roll he plays to make you not turn your phone off and discover deep meaning for yourself. Be better than this.
