I honestly hope to be able to do what I do until very near to the curtain call. I'll only retire in the sense that there will be no more of that capitalism-induced near-slavery notion of 10h\day, 6 days a week. The people I know that have more QoL in their last years are the ones still actively doing something. If we just take away our responsibilities and dont work all, our body rots, our mind rots, and we will eventually decay faster and have more miserable years.

Spineless. Amen. It's the Hollywood (fame) monster. “The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.” ― Hunter S. Thompson ^Original source of the quote from Hunter S. Thompson’s book titled Generation of Swine: Tales of Shame and Degradation in the ‘80s (New York: Summit Books, 1988). The TV business is uglier than most things. It is normally perceived as some kind of cruel and shallow money trench through the heart of the journalism industry, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free and good men die like dogs, for no good reason.

The day will come when someone decides to make a biopic about Jim Carrey. It's hard to wrap my head around how challenging that would be, or if they could even find an actor capable of doing him justice. Sure, he mostly stuck to comedy, but Carrey was one of a kind - with a unique personality, energy, and approach to acting that set him apart. He's one of those rare individuals who truly stand out as irreplaceable in their field. I can count on one hand the number of people I'd say that about.

A lot of people have their opinion on the incident. But he made an appearance on a show and talk about what he thought and what he would do. And he made some spicy comments on the incident. And conveniently, his movie is coming out. I can't help but think maybe he was being dramatic for a reason. To gain publicity for his movie ? I mean it is sonic the hedgehog. I am not gonna see that. Dear Mr. Carrey, I woke up this morning to find this video on my feed. I’m not gonna lie, it instantly hurt me in my heart with a couple of tears shed, slightly of happiness as well though. We grew up watching you, you amazed us, you inspired us. I remember you had a phase with the nature of the universe, a magnificent realization to the whole of us who were actually happy you had those revelations. Why? Most of “us” are already fully aware of that, and we’re happy that you have opened your eyes since then. But mostly, I am happy you get to leave an ignorant background behind as well. I’m wishing you well with the rest of your career: your own job to satisfy yourself only from this point further, you have done more than enough, but we’ll never have enough of you. Thank you for all the great times, the great lessons, and the deeper messages we get when watching you. Perhaps you can find comfort in the idea that some of your audience were on the same page as you the whole time. I truly hope that the golden ink will find its way to you. Thank you for everything.
