On the Benoit thing, and this is talking Chris Benoit the wrestler not the person, Benoit and Eddie are both so many levels above the talent of today, I always felt that Benoit was the one smaller guy that could believably beat the crap out of giants, he was one of the best to make it look like a fight, guys like Benoit and Eddie I don't think will come around ever again, guys that worked all over the world and learned and mixed different styles. Go ahead and watch an old nitro with those guys, everything they do is perfect, the timing,pacing, intensity, and guys have been trying to imitate it but they have to draw the entire thing out like a play

This is a good set of observations. Even Benoit’s WWF/E intro music set the stage for his precise intensity in offense. The only comparable wrestler is Bret at Bret’s peak, and Bret used his knowledge to survive and make the opponent submit with steady pressure. Benoit viciously found the opening and zeroed in on it.

I didn’t mind the match too much, but for cryin’ out loud they didn’t let Wardlow do the things that got Wardlow over. Didn’t dominate, didn’t lower the straps, didn’t perform the symphony. I similarly don’t mind OC’s match performance, but his character is godawful and nearly impossible to care for or get invested in. If he don’t care, I don’t care.

This bad ass guy beats Big Cass, Butcher, and 20 security guards but he just barely gets by pockets? And are the two jobber side kicks wearing the tie dye for the new song? I don't get it. He should have powerbombed the best friends a few times and then caught the little guy in jeans and did that several times and won without breaking a sweat. Because who is going to break a sweat lifting pockets? It was comedy. I bet you when Jim reviews the match he's like "And then Wardlow ripped out his pockets and I skipped to the end." He'll curse and I'm not sure how much cursing I can get away with, but yeah.

If the tag titles were going to change hands, then Team Taz should’ve been the ones to win. There’s just no way in hell you can tell me the Bucks were always supposed to only have a few weeks with the belts; the winner-takes-all rubber match against FTR was *CLEARLY* the natural, logical story to be told. I absolutely believe they heard those FTR chants last week and pulled some strings to dodge that bullet. I’m all for surprises in wrestling, but they have to make sense and be put in the right places. This certainly didn’t check either one of those boxes considering the surrounding context.

@@ManiacFitness AEW offers more in-ring wrestling and, despite the hybrid-indy talent of the roster, at least TRIES to book a wrestling show. WWE has 3 hours with MAYBE 20 mins of wrestling, and that's just Monday. I may not like everything AEW does but I'm damn sure grateful they exist as an alternative to Vince's trash monopoly.

I agree with Mr. Cornette and The Great Brian Last whole heartedly. Same generation as Jim, and used to do the antenna maneuvers back in the day just to watch Terry Gordy( one of my all time favorites) or Ted Dibiase through snow. Spent hours of watching televised squash matches, and enjoying them, just to maybe get a promo, or a new talent introduction. There is now 13 hrs of weekly wrestling programing and I may watch 13 minutes. The Bucks, The Omegas, the Riddles, and Street profit kinda crap is a dime a dozen now. Can maybe name a handful of people worth watching, the rest are all midcarders, not hard to find " talent" and alot of those lamesters are the champs now. Pretty sad, pretty crappy.

East Coast weather has been nuts the past 10 years or so. I'm originally from Halifax, NS (moved to Victoria, BC for self explanatory reasons) and when I was a kid in the 80's. There was no use getting excited over your Halloween costume, because you'd have to put winter coats, etc over it anyways when out Trick-or-Treating. Now, I can't remember the last time I was in Halifax for Halloween, and had to have on more than a t-shirt. Hey Jim Cornette was always one of my favourite managers during the WWF days and even later during WWE early times I loved Jim's commentary. Just for reference there are 2 time zones in Austraila Eastern time (Brisbane and Sydney) and Western time (Perth and mining towns) and not sure about Darwin and Alice Springs as I I am from New Zealand where is only 1 time zone
