Once Shawn left after WMXIV I honestly think Hunter believed he was going to be the next big star, the problem was DX became babyfaces shortly after and the best thing about the group was the New Age Outlaws. Hunter's DX feuded with The Nation led by The Rock, and despite being the heel Rock's charisma and presence always made him look like the bigger star because he was. Bottom line, Hunter could never get over the Rock. As Cornette famously quoted "Triple H was the guy that worked with the guy that drew the money."

Dwayne said that HHH would go of script when doing promos in the early days.

In HHH and HBK'S defense, pro wrestling seems like a pretty sketchy industry to begin with, so the sketchy politicking is all kinda relative.

And then after Triple H couldn’t bury The Great One he and that gigantic nose of his tried to bury other guys like Jericho, Edge and RVD. Some people might have ADD where they forget how shitty Hunter was but I never will, the guy was a glorified mid card like Bret Hart said. 4/10.

Hey smart guy. I guess you missed the memo that said unless you have an N95 mask you might as well not bother

That promo by the Rock where he asked Stone Cold if he has the manhood to "accept my challenge" was the moment he was over and never turned back

Rock and HHH made each other entertaining as fuck back then. Austin was still better than both tho

Comment section turns heel and face almost as much as Big Show. Whenever they bring up Hunter's past, you all suddenly jump on him like he Vince Russo.

To me it doesn't makes sense because triple h and the rock had such a great rivalry
@Speedyreedy12182 жыл бұрын
Because it isn't true. Fans are being worked. HHH and Rock have been close for a long time and stayed in character in ring, in promo, and appearances. Like old school wrestling professionals.

For all of Corny's phobias (flying, people in general, riding in a car driven by Vince McMahon) I never considered how much he's gotta hate getting a shot.

I know at one point in the mid to late 80’s, Shawn Michaels disrespected The Rock’s Grandmother, Lia Maivia at an event she promoted here in Hawaii. The Rock was young then but, aware of what had happened. I believe he never forgave Shawn.

Triple H is a WWE lifer and The Rock achieved greater success after leaving WWE. The Rock > Triple H.
