The mma fight Jim was talking was actually Cain Velasquez vs Junior Dos Santos, despite him mistakenly thinking that Junior was doing color. I remember that day as if it was yesterday. That event tanked the ufc fox deal too lol. Worked out in the end I guess, ufc got their ESPN deal and they're making a shit ton of money since covid. The ufc runs events out of their "apex", like a 300 seat sound stage and get the same amount of money from ESPN. They even ran a ton of ppvs there. It's honestly made me stop watching ufc. I really only watch ONE FC random Friday mornings and highlights. Dana, the Fertitas and the ufc being greedy killed the sport. Killed the fun.

Seems like Endeavor is nudging Vince and his people out in order to move toward a UFC style production. I wouldn't at all be suprised if Dunn's replacement is a UFC producer. It's ironic considering that Jim said, over a decade ago, UFC had the essence of what wrestling used to be (including its former fan base).

One of the worst ones is the fact that they never seem to have the show booked until 30 min into the program. It started off as a exciting change of the program on the fly to make it seem like anything can happen. Somehow that became the norm and is done every week.
