Love the Nasty Boys not the best technical wrestlers but man their look, they came off as tuff street punks. Also at this time no one looked like them either. Yeah they were only good with some tag teams most that were hard hitting or did not mind working stiff. Like LOD, Harlem Heat, Steiner Brothers, I could even see them if they had stayed in okay shap working with in the late 90s and early 2000s the Dudley Boyz, the APA doing hard hitting blody matches only seen in the NWA. Matches that would have made the matches the Dudley Boyz had with the Hardy Boys and Edge and Christian look like schoo yard tiffs.

Tag team wrestling seems to be kind of an "up and down" thing to me, for whatever reason. Whether it's due to the quality of tag teams at a particular time, or just the promoters of whatever company having varying levels of interest in it, I don't know, but it seems like you can always point to different times or eras in a company and say either "oh, tag teams were hot then" or "they weren't so good then." Personally I think tag teams should always be emphasized, because in my opinion a well-booked tag team match is one thing that always works.

James McDonald If TNB had been the ones who came looking for fight, I would 100% agree with you. But they weren’t, so I don’t. Sags and Knobbs were childhood friends. If one is in trouble, of course the other is gonna jump in. You are probably correct in your prediction of your own fantasy booking “Shamrock vs Sags - The Ultimate Fair Fight”. But it really doesnt matter. As I said, Shamrock went looking for a streetfight, and thats what he got. Honestly, he’s lucky Sags didnt travel with a gun. As far as the Nasty Boys’ general attitude and behavior goes, There is little doubt that they were a couple of completely obnoxious a**holes.

I loved the Nasty Boys in the 90s, they seemed like the most careless, ruthless, idiotic assholes that had no business in wrestling but Hell it worked. They were heels with heat and got a few title runs out of it.

Between Ole's goofy booking and personality conflicts with Jim Herd, Corny had had enough. WCW blew money on goofy stuff all the time so yeah in Jim's mind he was thinking they're making us lose to a makeshift tag team and the team we are about to feud with is also losing so F it, here's your stupid rented outfit.

@@jordan_8329 Shame too, because theres some good stuff & talent in 90 WCW outside of Herd's obsession w/ weird ass gimmicks & Ole's suspect booking.

@@dirtmcgirt8269 Which is odd, Ole was a pretty damn good booker in Georgia.

@@maxxdahl6062 Fair point. IDK what his deal was then. But man. Now I'm thinking back to 90 WCW and all the good stuff that happened. Flair vs Pillman, Luger vs Flair, the Flair/Woman storyline, Windham's return, Luger's turn, Sting getting his big win, Horsemen's turn on Sting, I'm missing a bunch of other stuff too.

@@dirtmcgirt8269 Ole was also the reason Georgia expanded into ohio too after Sheik's territory died. He realized they were getting just as much fanmail from ohio as they were Georgia so expanded there with the Sheiks blessing.

I get so aggravated when listen to stories like this. Do you know who is to blame for the shitty wrestling we get anymore? It's the previous generation of "stars" that tell stories like this. Bragging about costing the company money then in other interviews talks about how wcw was run into the ground by guys that couldn't book. Sounds to me that the company went under due to assholes that really didn't care about the wrestling business just wanted money.

Saying, "I feel nothing about The Nasty Boys because I'm not attracted to anything about their look or character" would sound a bit fruity out of context, but that's just early 90's wrestling storylines I guess...
