I read an investigative piece written maybe two years ago covering the McMahon family and inheritance disputes. @@marcelmoreau2733 I don't remember. It was a pretty long piece. I can look again. It has to still be in publication. @@abcsin6526 I'm still looking. I'm really trying to think of some key words. I really don't think it's the Bloomberg one from 6 months ago, though access to that article requires a subscription. It could have been CNBC, Forbes, ESPN, Business Insider. It was a long article involving all the family members, Levesque, Nick Khan, and Meltzer was quoted in it. I don't want to say it was 20 pages but it was long enough for me to take breaks. Since I don't follow WWE, it's hard for me to have a real time-frame for its publication. I also think Google changed the format where, after a few pages, you get like 8 pictured articles. Since McMahon resigned, it's dominating the searches. Meltzer would know for sure. It definitely was not a wrestling publication since those people don't get access to real players like that. It was access journalism by one of the business magazines that I happen to read for my own financials. It was also featured on Yahoo. I guess it could have been written in the fallout of the Shane McMahon scandal 6 months ago. I'll keep looking but Google is starting to make searches difficult. And then some of his many misdeeds came to the boards attention, and the light bulb went off and they leaked it to the Wall Street Journal knowing in the era of Me Too and all that this wouldn't just disappear and would eventually force him out. Then once he's gone, they can get rid of some of his people like Dunn and Laurinitis who they never could stand. I think in a way, Vince would be proud of this plot.

As someone who worked with Alan Wexler (over a decade ago), I can say he's a tech bro who worked his way up into Sr management and then to the position of CEO. From there, he went to a few more companies then to GM. That all being said, I don't see him having a personal stake in this (against Vince). He's a very practical member of management when I worked with him. I could see him going either way on a "should we oust Vince". I do have a personal bias that he always treated me very well, even when he could have pulled rank on me many times.

I don't think anyone not in Vince's most intimate circle knowing enough to ruin him. It had to be his own family. I used to see the McMahon's in a small town over a few years when I was in high school. They came there to see a relative. Vince presented himself as an old school Ed McMahon/Robert Stack character who didn't show off his wealth. He was very indiscreet. My mother didn't like him at all though. It's one of those old school things where the rich guy never bragged about his wealth and tried to look working class. I saw Stephanie a lot. She's extraordinarily professional and personable, as if she was doing a Make a Wish in every moment and manner of speaking she did. Shane was often wasted in public. Stephanie has the drive to take over the company. Shane never played along. That was all 20 years ago, but you could tell then who was going to have what. Vince supposedly said to Stephanie, according to an investigative piece on the McMahon's by (maybe) Bloomberg, that she could have the company if she could oust him. I think that's exactly what happened. Shane is kind of a bro. Nice guy but you can tell by how he acts that he's not worried about much. I can't see him ousting his dad just so his sister he could get the company. I don't think he cares anyway. Vince acts according to his environment and I think he has way too much situational awareness for anyone else on his Board of Directors to have real dirt on him like that, much less massive embezzlement, which is what he did. Thanks for the post btw!!

Guess I'll add that I'm surprised Vince got caught up in this like Cornette is. I heard the stories like the rest, but he was very square anytime I saw him and seemed like an old school family man. My mother got a bad vibe from him saying that he seemed like a very demanding, stern boss. Might make sense since she dealt with powerful people at the time, and I didn't. Weirdly enough, I never saw Linda, even though she was the connection there.

So HHH told Steph, "If Vince won't do business we'll do business for him,"? Trips can't help himself, can he? Steph in the back, declaring, "I had no fucking clue, with God as my witness I had nothing to do with this. I wash my hands of this."

it wouldn't surprise me a bit if this was Stephanie and Hunter. They've talked incessantly about doing what's 'best for business' and it was clear to most all of us fans that while Vince created this machine and brought it to heights that nobody before him could've ever conceived, he was in the twilight of his career and the business had passed people like him, Kevin Dunn and Johnny Ace by. I've always given Hunter credit for how he promoted and handled NXT as many of the matches were fantastic and it was an overall very good product. However, when push came to shove, Vince always reverted back to his old school mantra of 'push the hosses' and we get Roman vs. Brock for the fifth straight time and NXT guys were buried. Vince also offered Brock a gazillion dollars that could've been spent pushing many other guys. Point here is I can see Stephanie and Hunter understanding that they'll be around long after Vince is gone and if they want to take the company into the next phase, Vince can't be the stubborn old stick in the mud that won't budge off his old school beliefs, especially since he surrounded himself with the usual assortment of yes men who believe exactly what he did in Johnny Ace and Kevin Dunn. They also have another person who can be a straight up killer in Nick Kahn who stood to benefit massively from participating in this. They all now stand to benefit financially as well.

Felix Dennis, the billionaire magazine publisher from Great Britain, once told a guy during an interview that he didn't know anyone with a net worth over $100 million that, in private, had a good relationship with their children. My point is, don't be sure it wasn't Stephanie and Paul that set this in motion.

HHH would have a motive with the was Vince took nxt away from him. The way he has screwed over so many people over the years he deserves a taste of his own medicine. Sure a lot of people are getting a chuckle from this, and if it is his family or inner circle, they'll be rolling on the ground laughing.

Stephanie is the coup, she learned from her dad to take care of the business first and how to be cold about it. I think her and Triple H saw Vince was more detrimental than helpful to the company at this point and she moved in to remove him before he or his lackluster cronies could do serious damage to the brand. Stephanie has been heir apparent for a long time, meaning she wasn't just the boss's daughter and boss of shows but the eventual Big Boss. She's probably got a lot of inside information Vince may not have realized she had as ppl curried favor with her as Vince got older. I think she went to the board with what she had, a good speech about needing to remove Vince before one of these girls wasn't interested in an NDA and it became a #MeToo trending story, and that the current product under Vince didn't warrant taking the risk of keeping him around to see if it happens. I imagine it was pretty much Fait Accompli when she walked into the room and it's just been the maneuvering needed to remove Vince while keeping the stock up that's taken from then till now.

I read an article done awhile back about the McMahon family drama. Vince taunted Stephanie that she can have the company if she figures out how to oust him. I don't remember the publication but it was something like Bloomberg, Business Insider, or WSJ. Shane McMahon was discussed too.

@@SONOFPEARL315 I don't think it benefits her to sack her husband in what might amount to a lot of federal charges. She still has political ambitions. I'm sure too Stephanie was never too hot about her dad cheating on her mom.

What about Shane McMahon?? He is Vince’s only son. wwe has always been headed by a male McMahon for the past 3 generations. Why break the tradition now? Or why can’t Shane and Stephanie run wwe together??
