This has to be very cathartic for HHH. Lost his NXT, many of his pet projects are now in AEW. He needed a win and I'm happy for him.

Woah, when I read this something kinda clicked, maybe Triple bypass broke this story as payback for losing NXT, and to get Vince out so he could take over WWE, he's obviously a selfish scumbag and had the most to gain by getting Vince out

If HHH shares the creative responsibilities with Paul Heyman and if Stephanie shares the business side with Nick Kahn, they can spread out the duties such that it's sustainable. I hope that they don't just step away from the business when or if it's sold. We shall see

It should be Paul Heyman and Jeff Jarrett. I don’t see HHH as this big savior like a lot of u guys do! When he had NXT it was boring AF! It’s more to pro wrestling than 5 star matches and kicking out of 5 finishes. He never built up a star all he did was sign Indie stars and NJPW stars and put WWE money behide it

@@thesupervisor3270 agree and disagree. I think that HHH was good at booking feuds and matches so they felt real and made sense. I don't think that he was good at making them creative and entertaining. I think Paul Heyman is best suited for that, and can do everything else that HHH can do better than him too. But HHH is good at building rapport with wrestlers and giving them free rein. He has much better quality control and psychology than Tony Kahn but I do think you're right - he's a bit boring. I just don't think you gave him his full dues, is all. He has strengths. I don't see his vision being too different from Paul Heyman either. It's funny too, because when Steph booked long ago she had all her dad's worst instincts and none of his better ones. But she's seemed to accept her strengths are not on the creative end (we hope)

Why did I read this in Jigsaws voice, and instantly think of a mystery storyline where he becomes someone behind the scenes manipulating things without being on screen, and it just goes on for a year, until we get an official storyline takeover where Trips turns on Stephanie and the "marriage" was all for his gain, and now that he's got what he wanted, he's divorcing her. This brings Shane back to help Steph stop Hunters takeover, culminating in a "Takeover/Survivor Series" match where Trips teams Win the most matches and it becomes official that he will "Takeover" WWE.

HHH taking over creative is exactly what WWE needs. His run as the head of NXT gave us some of the best matches and moments in wrestling. Even outshining WWE's biggest events. Now he gets to do it on a bigger scale, this is also big for anyone who left WWE because of Vince but supports HHH. AEW should be worried about this as well. quite honestly, i'm pretty pumped to see what HHH will do. i think the one thing that might help in the short term is having a more fluid process. i think at his age, Vince was just too grumpy and picky about everything and not enough people in that company collectively had the balls to challenge him and tell him that his ideas were bad for business on the creative side. i have to admit that i was a bit shocked to see the stock shoot up after the announcement of Vince retiring because i wasn't certain if investors actually would see how much damage he was doing in that spot. but it is hopeful and i do think things should improve as long as he continues to stay away and HHH gets to do what he needs to do. i think he'll be focused on the big picture of where he can line up the talent to be on certain spots for a card, figure out the location and structuring things so that the right people eventually go over but leave the majority of the details to the writers except giving them a general direction so that they will figure out the how's. then whatever sounds iffy, he'll just correct things so that people don't go overboard. i mean, you really need to produce some people like a Malakai Black or Andrade because they seem to have some very bad ideas of how to present themselves given what we've seen in AEW where they're left to their own devices for the most part. You don't want to completely cut them off but you can't just open the door and go, "do whatever you want!" and get that horrid barbed wire Jericho - Kingston match where everything goes to hell. as for being a writer with better ideas, sign me up. i just finished my novel. i'm free :)

HHH was over as well. HHH'S talent is a blessing and a curse. He prides himself not only for his technician abilities. But for being a versatile performer that can adapt to any style. He can brawl with the Austin's. He can have scientific matches (which he loves the most) with Kurt and Benoit. He can be violent with the Hardcore types like Foley. He can play off of the Showmanship of the Rock. He knows how to work small for the Giant style a la the Big Show, Kane, Viscera, Umaga's of the world. Being that versatile comes off as "a guy with the guy"-a horrible take that Cornette has on him which is incredibly misleading. You can't throw just anyone with the top babyface. He is the special one who can be as he is the top villian. He is the Darth Vader to their Skywalker. Rock, Austin, Undertaker etc isn't selling out a building with Hardcore Holly or Billy Gunn opposite them. Pair Rock, Austin, Cena with HHH, THE ONE HEEL consistently and universally hated the last 25 years not the "cool kind" like Scott Hall, and that PPV is making money.

Totally agree. The last time WWE was really good was back in 2014-2016 when they had bigger guys like Cena, Roman, Orton, Brock, and Batista mixed with smaller super workers like Bryan, Rollins, Ambrose, and Styles. A variety in the main event is best. For me Rollins is the best of both worlds. He’s not a small guy but his in ring work is as good as anyone. I think HHH should go back to him as being the top guy like he originally did in NXT and with the Authority.

I think the model is saving long matches for the Premium shows. It has worked too since almost all their PLE's this year have been good.

"Hey Cody, can I have my sledgehammer and golden shovel back? I got this...thing...I gotta take care of" Then the camera cuts to HHH whistling his entrance music walking down the hall towards Bruce Prichard's office.

Do you know what his Wrestlemania record is (technically the most important show)? 10 wins, 14 losses. He didn't refuse in the beginning, then the reign of terror happened what is in everyones mind and when he matured he did the job again.

@@TheLibermania In the "Reign of Terror," he lost to Booker, Eugene, Goldberg, Steiner, RVD, Orton, Batista, Benoit, Benjamin, et al. He may not have lost at some specific ppvs people wanted, but to say he didn't lose to any of the aforementioned people in any fashion between 2002-2005 is a lie.

I'll be honest: I stopped watching wrestling almost 20 years ago, the reason I listen to this show is Jim's adverts xD

HHH being announced as Head of Creative and Head of Talent Relations was great news for the WWE and lapsed fans. He actually loves wrestling, and if he has Paul Heyman and maybe Jeff Jarrett on the creative team, I see great improvements. I’m sure that there were some people in Jacksonville that started quaking in their boots when it was announced that Triple H was the Head of Talent and Creative.

It's hilarious when Jim goes off during an ad and Brian has to be like "no, that isn't true!" Their ads are so much better than that other guys.
