Im from quebec city and i was there. It was empty, somewhere between 3000 and 4000 peoples. Most tickets were between 30 to 100$, Monday Night raw a few months before packed the house.I'm a huge japanse wrestling fan since the end of the 90's. I was thrilled to see Shibata, but lets face it nobody knew who he was. I like to hear the opinion of casual fans, and every match i could hear " C'est qui lui?" around me , in french it means " who is he? " . Quebec city crowd is always a rowdy one , especially in wrestling shows and i 've never seen it so quiet and bored. I honestly believed that the local indy fed, the NSPW could draw more people in the same venue. Aside from the young Bucks and Ospreay (who is a new guy for a lot of people not following japanese wrestling) not a fucking star showed up. Okada was pre-taped, Jericho was pre-taped , Moxley absent, Adam page absent and the rest are injured. People felt they were threated like a third grade city. No Stars,No Local guys, Nobody cared.

WWE Raw drew over 10,000 in QC in August last year. AEW Dynamite 3500. When WCW went off a cliff it was the tanking attendances and huge payroll that killed it. Sound familiar? I'm on episode 9 of Eastern Championship Wrestling (ECW) from 1993 and the whole big star on the show that I knew was Terry Funk (Sandman was there and was world champion, but he didn't have an aura of Terry Funk). I didn't know Eddie Gilbert very well but Funk has gotten me to see some talent in him. So 9 shows later from the first episode, we've seen Superfly Jimmy Snuka become TV champion (so a legend who has booked well), Don Morroco (a WWF guy) who looked like a star winning a couple of squash matches and challenging for the world title and winning it. Road Warrior Hawk is there and he won a debut match in a handicap against some jobbers. He immediately got in a feud with Paul E Dangerously's group that Jimmy Snuka and Don Morroco are in and they had an amazing angle with Road Warrior Hawk fighting off the Dangerous Alliance only to eat a fireball from Eddie Gilbert. It's just amazing how this low budget federation/show from 1993 has more continuity, stars (whether they were brought in or company guys), and more exciting stuff going on than AEW in 2024 does and Tony Klown has 30 years of wrestling history available to know how to do an amazing show and he cannot figure it out or doesn't want to.

Start at commentary, Taz is the worst. He is not good at presenting the product on TV. He won't step away. Everybody on that payroll is basically just milking the cow until its dry. Where else will they go? Its a check. Money for nothing, and the injuries are free

She really needs to go to WWE after her AEW contract is up.

@@SpScarletSpider I’m a fan of both products, but I do have to admit that AEW can’t develop young talent past the level they’re already at when they start there, so yea she needs to leave…and it wouldn’t hurt for her to get away from her doofus bf either (assuming they’re still together).
