Watching Christian in AEW is like watching Jeremy Irons in the Dungeons & Dragons 90’s movie. You know he’s getting paid, and he’s doing his best, but you’re still ashamed to see him there.

Dynamite is unwatchable now. TK's done the impossible and made MJF's Championship run seem irrelevant. Also in TK's warped mind Nick Wayne the walking stick is a main event wrestler, just horrendous.

It's unreal that AEW has somehow made me no longer care about MJF. I don't hate him, but him vs. Punk was what brought me back to wrestling after like 15-20 years. I'm an Attitude Era mark like TK, but randomly happened to tune into RAW the night Punk cashed in the briefcase, so he was somebody I had a soft spot for. I wasn't a Punk fan by any means, but even as a lapsed viewer it was obvious that Punk cashing in was a big deal, and I was stoked to just channel surf it. MJF and Punk was one of the best programs I've ever seen, and they were telling a story as old as time - confident/cocky newcomer vs. established veteran who knows better, or thinks they do. It's brilliant. But Tony has somehow booked even MJF into me rolling my eyes and not even check clips on KZbin. I enjoy Corny too much to not be aware of what's happening in AEW, but I can't for the life of me figure out why you'd actually watch AEW anymore. Just let Cornette and Brian tell us about it in highly comical terms, pray that Punk getting fired was a work, and that MJF wakes up from his coma soon.

I really don't get all the hate. I watched an episode recently expecting local indie level stuff and was actually surprised at how much I enjoyed a lot of the matches. Yeah, moxleys idea of selling a move is blading his forehead and the wrestlers don't all look roided up like they do in WWE but they have some legitimate talent on the roster and I find it more entertaining than what might as well be called "The Roman Reigns Show"

@@ilovecookiesmorthanyou he already has though, he makes even the biggest AEW haters go "well goddamnit, pal, at least that was good." He's dangerously close to fucking that all up right now, but to become a star in spite of AEW is the citizen Kane of wrestling. And not the big red machine Kane.

Its true about Mox being over saturated. Mick Foley wasnt the greatest wrestler either but he wrestled sparingly and his crazy stuff was spaced out. I get Mox represents the heel/face workhorse but on a huge roster, they can afford to make Mox wrestle a little more sparingly to keep his aura or whatever is left of it, still somewhat appealing.

Punk should totally show up at indie events with the AEW belt, ESPECIALLY if he goes back to WWE. He should work twice a month, one week doing whatever WWE thing and another week defending the AEW belt on whatever mom and pop he fancies.

My only real problem with Samoa Joe versus MJF is how we got there. Both are fine wrestlers, talkers, what have you, but they should be defending their own belts, not bothering with each other. Not without some reasons to postpone or sideline defending their belts anyway.

I'm much more with Brian than Jim on the Emi Sakura/Statlander match. Sakura is effective in getting the crowd invested in a match. As for the Roddy Strong promo, I had exactly the same thought about how he was talking about his childhood being tough while showing all these happy photos. A while after the show, I wondered if that was the idea: that you were supposed to feel he was whining when his childhood clearly wasn't that bad. If so, it's probably a bit late for AEW to be going for subtlety. I'm not sure why J & L are down on Aussie Open who are really good, especially Kyle Fletcher. He had match a while back before Davis returned (possibly just on Rampage) which he was great in. Can't remember who it was with, they were just jobbing - probably a luchador - but all his stuff looked good, done at the right time, and he was carrying himself like a proper sneering, swaggering heel. No idea what they're thinking with Nick Wayne. If they want him to look like a potential star sending him down to the ring with a pink theme and mournful keyboard music is not the way to go. Don't understand the objection to his kicking Darby though. If someone is patronising enough to hide their hands and give you a free hit just to try it, the least they deserve is a superkick to the face.

I am giving Dynamite one last chance to keep me as a viewer when they are in Queens. Otherwise, it is only Collision and that might be going away as well. Firing CM Punk was the last straw for me and proves AEW doesn't care about stars and quality wrestling week after week. The inmates run the asylum and Tony Khan has no testicular fortitude. I watched the 1000th episode of Impact and even that was more entertaining than this 💩.

What a great show Dynamite was this week. Jim, I didn't know that AEW had fired MJF or Orange Cassidy or The Elite? You said they fired their biggest star, well they're still there. You couldn't possibly be referring to the diva and ace"who?" steel? Collision (formally impunkt wrestling) is still doing the same ratings, so no great loss there.
