I have been a fan of Priest's for sometime kind of like the unsung hero , but I think we are closing in seeing him open up more in a good way in segments and interviews that could take him to another level. When he did the mania post press conference he showed it a lot there and in this segment with Mcintyre this cool, impactful voice , with a touch of wise ass to him was pretty cool to watch.

Priest is gaining some momentum IMO. The big memorable cash in at wrestlemania, a solid title defense against Jey at Backlash, dissension in his heel stable hinting at babyface sensibilities from Priest, and this promo with Drew are all great steps in the right direction for him. I'm digging his run so far and hope he keeps building on it.

I have been a fan of Drew all the way back to his "Chosen One" days. I even followed him through 3MB, to TNA, and back to the UK. It's just nice to see people finally noticing how awesome he is. (And he's a nice guy too, I was fortunate enough to meet him at Summer Slam in 2011 and he was super cool to me and my cousin.) F*ck CM Punk. F*ck Bondage Undertaker. Same. Drew has always been a class act. He's always made time for me when he sees me. Always signs my stuff, takes pics, chats me up. It's been fun watching him grow since his early run. I was bummed when he told me he moved to Nashville at Sheamus' recommendation. He seems to love it there.

If I'm honest, I would also say part of making Damien more credible as a champion is letting him do these sorts of promos without being interrupted by comedy skits. I love R-Truth, but I felt it was completely out of place for him to interrupt Priest and Ripley when Judgement Day cut their promo right after WM. They needed to start giving him the strong promo without the shenanigans then, but everything that's happened afterwards has largely worked. He's always been talented and I feel like he's coming into his own as champion, so it'll be interesting to see where he goes from here.

My theory based on nothing is that yes WWE still has writers. but since senile Vince is no longer there micromanaging, they are now letting the talent re-word the promos in their own way, so it comes off more natural. Much like it was in the '00's-'05's late attitude era.
