Gunther is a dead lock of a star. The best thing he ever did was NOT sign right away. He made it very well known that he was happy living in Europe and just making dates in the US from time to time, so WWE had to make this worth his time.

@chrisgullett4332
@chrisgullett4332 Жыл бұрын
@@orangemaniabrother2232 I do not think that is it, because he just has it. Some guys just have IT, and he is one of them. HHH liking wrestlers seems to be a bad thing. Just look at all the guys he supposedly liked, because all of them ended badly. Just look at Enzo and Cass, because they were his top guys in NXT, and he pulled for them to be called up. Then for no reason one night he turned on them, and they have talked about it in many interviews, and are still clueless as to why he turned on them. Or look at FTR, because they were also supposedly his guys, then one night he turned on them as well. FTR says that they talked to Shawn Michaels, and the bald one was pouring his heart out to Shawn Michaels about personal stuff, and Michaels tells HHH, and HHH tells everybody, and HHH starts making fun of them. They said it happened on the same night minutes before they did the spot with DX. So when you watch it back now, you know that right before that spot happens, HHH was in the back making fun of them like a kid on the playground. That was clearly why they left WWE, because they realized they no longer had HHH. There are countless stories about HHH supposedly liking wrestlers, and then turning on them. It is almost like HHH wants to help get people over, then hates them when they get over. Nonetheless, I would not see HHH liking me as something positive based on the stories several wrestlers have told.

Some people say the roles were reversed that the heel (Gunther) had the Herculean effort at number one going against the babyface that came in 30th. The positions were actually done perfectly for the story. Gunther had the fatigue at the end while Cody had the ring rust and the scar tissue from his bicep surgery. It helped the story that Gunther even targeted the injury during the one on one confrontation. This is no doubt a Five star match some time in the future.

The best part was that they now allow Cole to make jokes about the wrestlers, not just be the straight man on commentary. So the jokes about Dominik were super funny. They are actually playing into the fake thug character Dominik is playing. They literally even mentioned Konnan, which means they have been paying attention to all the online talk about Konnan and Dominik. I said it not long ago, Dominik was the worst wrester in WWE in 2022, but in the same year he was also the most improved, and is a heat getting machine. It is nice to see WWE reward a guy like Dominik who is clearly working hard and improving. Go back and watch Dominik in early 2022, and watch him now, it is like night and day.

I was actually kinda shocked at how interesting Dominik was in the rumble match. I loved the vignette that he and Rhea did leading up to the rumble match and he did a great job of nailing his part. He was getting legit heat which is not something I figured would happen for him at any point of his career.

Don't think he wants the hassle of doing tv. He's said he wants to do at least one more public event in the next few years just so he can say he's worked every decade for the last 50 years but he might just want to do a meet and greet or something. He doesn't need the money, he doesn't like dealing with stress, doesn't like traveling and doesn't like most people in person. For me, in fantasy world he'd be Gunther's manager for the next 5 years, and eventually set up a match between Gunther and Roman just because the promo exchange between Corny and Heyman would be gold

Yep now people expect number 1 and 2 to last long. It used to be that number 1 and number 2 had no chance of lasting long, and only in very few rumbles they lasted longer which shocked the fans and the commentary made it look shocking too. It just makes the rumble look fake af if every year number 1 and 2 lasted for most of the match. And it also makes the wrestlers not look impressive if so many others have done it

Pat McAfee on commentary was great. It was also revealed he was a surprise and got there within 20 minutes before the show started and nobody told Cole or Graves about it. The RR match itself had an obvious outcome, but how they got to it out of the final 2 was what made it worth it.

Only just watched this yesterday. But yeah match was great but I felt done after the men's RR lol. Loved Edge coming back his pop was about as big as last time, but I was a little annoyed he got eliminated so quickly. My favourite part was Booker T coming out, and doing his thing, and you could tell he was gonna get thrown out immediately. My mvp's of this match were Gunther, Sheamus, Drew, Cody, Seth. And an honorable mention to Richochet, and Logan Paul. Their spot was insane.

I saw Cody at a Fan event in 2015 before WM31, when he was active as Stardust. He lived that gimmick and was such a gentlemen to myself and my wife. He has always taken risks, even if he personally doesn't believe in something, and I'm glad to see he is finally getting the chance he deserves. They missed a huge opportunity not doing this during his 'dashing' days, his character then should have been pushed more but the title scene was filled with more personalities.
