@@nickonite And let's be fair, it was how many years ago? The authority figure stuff is just played out. WWE is doing it right with Pearce and Aldis, that style works tremendously but the Vince/Stone Cold or Bischoff and the nWo v. WCW and Turner, that was played out 15 years ago. Triple H and Steph doing the Authority stuff...pulling teeth. Payoff wasn't even worth it because Bryan had to step away a month after Mania.

The excitement was so real that my grandma was in tears and upset at everyone when "Jack Briscoe" got attacked on Florida Championship Wrestling? It was serious stuff and you believed! This crap is hard to watch even for me. There once was a time if you told a true wrestling fan that it was fake, a fight could break out! The funny thing about all this was during the NFL draft Tony Kahn was seen on camera during the Jacksonville Jaguars picks wearing the neck brace backwards or incorrectly. It’s like Tony realized the camera was coming into their war room and he didn’t have the brace on so they put it on him in a hurry and it wasn’t even on correctly. He even did an interview on NFL network trying to promote AEW and all the things that happened to him in the ring. The NFL analyst asked Tony Kahn what his prognosis was and he said if you wanna know what my prognosis is then you need to tune in to AEW on TBS to find out the rest of the story.

“Why doesn’t he just fire them?” There’s the problem. Austin/McMahon worked because, even though you knew McMahon hated Austin in Kayfabe, outright firing him would hurt business. Firing the Bucks and Perry would have zero impact on business, so why wouldn’t Tony fire them? They’re ratings poison. In Kayfabe he has no reason not to start Dynamite on Wednesday by announcing all of them are gone.

All honesty Jim's description of what happened makes it look much better than it was. It was like a bunch of year one college students pretending to do what Jim said they did. The action and the acting were so phony. The venue was low rent. Everybody was winking and nudging. Even the crowd was reacting like a bunch of parents: 0 investment but still making random noises to make their kids feel better about it. And to top it all off, in the grandious climax of this wonderful performance the Balding Buck's pants split in half in the middle of the phoniest tombstone i've ever seen in my life. This is the final form of Tony Khan's sports based presentation ladies and gentlemen. A true art form as Kenny would say.
