As I like to listen to Jim Cornette, I have to disagree with his stance on bullying in wrestling. The main reason why is because WWE is still big on their anti bullying campaign hypocrisy. I worked with a guy that the entire place would take bets on how long people would last with him. He bullied me and pushed me on a nightly basis. I was smart enough to know that he had been there for a very long time, and that I could listen to what he said but not how he said it. The man was 6'3" and 275lbs. I seen him break a weld that held together the steel beams that kept forklifts from hitting the back of the machine with his foot. He said something to me one night right in front of the supervisor. I looked at the supervisor and said that if he didn't stop pissing me off, I was going to hit him in the head with a 2x4. We got along great after that. Worked with him as a great friend for 9 years when I was only supposed to last a week. Even though it worked out great for me, that is not the way you should handle problems like that. I would have hit him with a 2x4 if he said one more thing that rubbed me the wrong way. It could have gotten one or both of us hurt. We were about the same size and we were working in a factory. This wasn't like one of us was 6'3" and the other one was 5'0". We didn't have fans watching us and wanting to be like us. We didn't spend a whole lot of money putting advertisements out there against bullying. If any company does that, then ends up with an employee that gets called out publicly for bullying people, it makes it seem like they really are not against bullying at all in the first place. I've always known that WWE mostly full of shit when it comes to their public persona. Don't do drugs. How many wrestlers die early because of the drugs that WWe and other promotions claim to be against? We listen to the WWe universe. That's why nobody likes the wrestlers they are pushing, but they keep pushing them on the fans. Don't be a bully. That might just land you a high paying job on television and we will refuse to do anything about it when you get reported. I am glad that I don't watch this g rated shit anymore.

The campaign you mention is aimed towards children. Grown men in wrestling used to be a brotherhood, and they didn't just let everyone in. You earned your spot. That meant taking some hazing, bullying, or pranks- and responding in the way that showed you belonged. It might be with a 2x4 threat, but standing up to a bully is best, especially if you can count on back-up because you aren't physically up to the task.

There's a difference between "bullying" because a guy is misbehaving and the other roster guys see no other solution but to teach him a (nonviolent) lesson and the stuff the Kliq were up to, physical violence and verbal abuse for no reason. Ribbing, Harmless pranks, Playful banter.. It’s forms of hazing that’s been around for generations. Some bully because they’re just mean, Wanna establish they’re the Alpha. Doesn’t matter the situation. The “Wrestling” Business is predicated on Bullying. The Heels making life hell for the Babyface’s. Then, after weeks and months the payoff.
