the lost art of serve and volley 🔥🔥

Many players can do that. The art remained. It is just not very effective anymore and it has become one of the variety of tactics you can use.

Very happy to see a resume of this final but... NO SCORE... we NEVER KNOW the score, the advance in the match... Whare is the Set Point of Edberg ? What is the score for each point ???? Thumb down... bad, very bad review... :(

If you have the entire court to use (serve & volley), WHY to they hit it directly to their opponent, and get passed???

In 80s and early 90s, for TV telecast of the 4 grand slams, Australian Open is the worst in providing slow motion replays. First, there were very few, I'm glad this highlights captured whatever is available in this final. For other less important matches, there were no replays no matter how great the points were. Second, most of the time, the slow motion were through cameras following the ball flying between the players, so you only got blurry images (just as you see in this video). It's a shame that many great points can only be reviewed in this manner (if they are lucky enough to have a slow motion replay). I'm certainly relieved that they finally improved when time moved into the 21st century. With the changes on the color of the court, now it is much more enjoyable watching Australian Open.

Jim Courier one of the coolest ever with his red hair, his baseball cap and his forehand. Cool serve motion too / Sweden

Edberg and Fedex ... best players in history. Edberg is god... It is true that this game is no longer distilled like this today but it is also true that Edberg achieved it with long-distance(baseline) gunboats and modern rackets. So, even if this game isn't distilled anymore, would there be players today capable of having Stefan's quality? For me, Edberg and Fedex they are the gods of this sport .. .. that hand, that wrist, that game of cat-and-mouse... How nice it was to see a Becker - Edberg or a McEnroe .. and what the hell it is now to see a Djokovic - Nadal, where the only exciting thing is that they play for a title, for the rest, all running and returning balls with a minimum of sense of the defense. 6-hour matches, that any day they have dinner and everything in the middle of the court, this tennis is unbearable, insufferable ... and more since Fedex got older You just have to look at the top 5 of current world tennis... they are stone hands, they look like dizzy ducks Djokovic, medvedev, Zrevev, rudd, tsitsipas,,, are "hands of stone" on the net, I think , at now, it's great physical contribution, the tactics, knowing how to be in the baseline and winning, but talent is running out.
