I've owned both three point and skidsteer models. Both have advantages and disadvantages. Both were Harley brand (one is CAT same) and they use the best components available from carbide teeth to hydraulic motors. Three point one was awesome for along houses and sidewalks. Skidsteer one is a HOG and moves a lot of dirt. FYI using a Massey 1528 and Cat 257D standard flow.

Great job and video as always. I use to drive a loader that drove like your ventrack. The only difference was I had open space. You make it look easy. Lol
@TractorTimewithTim5 жыл бұрын
It isn't as easy as one would think, is it!?! I grew up on articulated 4wd tractors. Those are now a bit out of favor, but that is what I spent most of my time on. So, I have some experience with an articulated rig.
@12collier5 жыл бұрын
Tractor Time with Tim I remember thinking the first time My boss asked me can you drive this loader. I told him yep, I grew up on a small farm. I can drive anything you have. The loaders mid turning wasn’t as easy as I thought it would have been. Didn’t drive like any tractor I had been on. It takes practice for sure. Keep up the good work.

Great job and video. I noticed right off the bat that the rear tires looked low. I was going to mention they were either low on air or maybe one too many cheeseburgers. But, since you mentioned you added air later I won't bring up the cheeseburgers.
@TractorTimewithTim5 жыл бұрын
Hey now! Be careful with the cheeseburger slander :-) I checked the manual, it says anything between 8 and 16 psi for the tires. So, the 11 was within range. Also, with the duals, it says 12 is the max. I really think the power bucket on the rear puts a lot of weight on it which is not typical of other attachments.
@brucealvarez92635 жыл бұрын
Looks like Vinny was the perfect machine for the job. I looked up power rakes for compact tractors, as you said MANY MANY thousands of dollars! Doesn't seem like it would be more complicated than a tiller but they cost much less.
@TractorTimewithTim5 жыл бұрын
Yea, even twice as much as a tiller might make sense, but wow! 5x? 6x? Seems like we need more competition !!!
@88dalejr1fan5 жыл бұрын
I see your tires bulging would the beet juice for ballasting help with that or does just using air help with traction

Wouldn’t want the extra weight for this tractor since it is primarily a turf tractor.

Have ypu ever tryed a ventract with a loader on it? That would be the ticket to get me hooked on wanting one. Theres not much videos online about them other then how easy they are to instal and take off. I do like how that bucket can be used front or back

I grew up in a wet state, one of the things that was crucial with houses was the grading. It is always better to have a house sitting "high" rather than "low" on the slope or on the flat as well. The houses that were always on sale were the ones on the edges of swales or on the margins of development grades. They were to code, but when you get one of those 20 year La Nina cycles, you end up worrying about how dry you are going to stay.
@ilmo23135 жыл бұрын
Looks to me like the Ventrac and its specialty attachments are the thing to use in tight areas like you are working in. All three attachments you used were ideal for that type work. You can see what you are doing with the front attachments rather than turning around all the time looking at rear attachments on tractors. I think that set up will be used quite a bit in your business. Good luck.
@TractorTimewithTim5 жыл бұрын

Love the videos Tim its amazing what they can do, but I feel the Ventrac videos are out of most consumers range and more geared for commercial owners. I love the compact tractor series as IMHO the compacts are more in the range of what the average person can afford and like to see what can be done with them as I feel like I could see myself owning some of those attachments. Keep the videos coming.
@TractorTimewithTim5 жыл бұрын
Each of these attachments is available for a subcompact tractor.
@TractorTimewithTim5 жыл бұрын
...and we continue to focus on the 1025r. We just mix in some of the other equipment as well. Quite frankly, the subcompact alone didn’t provide quite enough content to keep the channel fresh and interesting. So, we aren’t moving away from the subcompact tractors, just adding some more variety.

Hay tim. What kind of grass seed be a good fit for here in grand rapids michigan. Im working up a spot to make it a better lawn at church. Im gonna disc it and possibly use the field cultivators. More work in the future. That tree is coming out. The pile of ‘dirt’ is mostly pea gravel. If you remember, I had a full load, and could not quite get it all. I am pretty expensive when it comes to haul off (loading, hauling, dump fees, all add up). So, we’ll deal with that later when the tree comes down.
