Never could understand what nbc saw in Leno, as a kid, didnt find him funny, as a teenager, thought always came across rude and trying to upstage every interview with bad jokes as if jealous focus wasnt on him. Anytime watched again, same things. Even now on youtube, you have channels devoted to Carson, naturally, Dave, Conan, Craig and yet zero to Leno. He wasnt funny or good in the host role, so obviously he was easy to deal with for nbc, easy to manipulate or something else. I wasnt always a big Dave fan, he could come across rude as well, but could see talent and ability to interact with different guests, and should have been him getting show, even Carson wanted Dave. Sorry, sure he has his fans, and feel for things heard about his wife, but as entertainer, even decades later watching clips, he just is horrible
