Kevin Feige: Take note: This is how Gambit and Rogue MUST LOOK
@keepitmaastricht985711 ай бұрын
Just discovered these video’s. Jim Lee, my favorite artist! Brings me straight back to the early ‘90s! ‘90-‘94 …When me and my best friend got completely obsessed with Marvel comics. X-men, x-force, cable, wolverine,spiderman, the fantastic four,venom, infinity Gauntlet, infinity wars, x-cutioners song and the age of apocalypse! Ahhh what memories come back! Unbelievable to see you draw from scratch! I used to stare for hours at the big fold out covers from X-men #1 (dutch version) All the characters together, such dynamic poses! Thank you for your art. ❤🙏🏾 Tomorrow i’m gonna dig in my boxes pull out some ‘90s X-men comics. 🔥🔥🥳

Its like Bob Ross but with comic book art. Been a huge fan of Jim’s since X-Men #1, glad he’s doing this now.

I agree, my favorite part is mostly him sketching it's so dynamic it's insane how EASY he makes it look! Don't get me started when he inks them!😲😲

Omg!! This is AMAZING! I love Jims Xmen so this is just a treat for me. Really love the under drawing and process. So lucky to be able to see him draw this. Jims Rogue and Gambit are my favorites. How did I miss this stream?

Wow, I've seen so many of Jims works, and he is like my favorite artist, so I've kept my eye on his work lots. But I gotta say, this is by far one of his most beautiful pieces. Absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for sharing ☺

Thanks for coming by and checking it out, Chris. I agree 100%.

Nice to see a Marvel drawing by Jim Lee. I guess it's because he's a DC employee (and now publisher), but her rarely seems to draw Marvel characters in his streams.

Man, of all the sketches he's done on stream that's probably my favourite. Would love him to make a print of that one, I would buy it without hesitation and frame it.
@VZAAGE6 жыл бұрын
Heck yeah! This one is my favorite so far as well and I don't even care too much for these characters.
@thadonis.6 жыл бұрын
Yeah. although I do love their designs, especially Gambit. Is there any chance you have a link to the full picture? The one you show at the end?

Jim has been sharing pictures of the sketches at discord.gg/jimlee to subs. I'm not at liberty to share that. Hopefully he'll post it on his IG/Facebook soon.

This is amazing. I love Gambit and Rogue since they're part of the blue team (which is my favorite X-Men team). I would love to see him draw Daria and Trent in his style.

Yes, Jim Lee's drawing definitely looks great! The only thing I might not do when I do drawings of my own, especially graphite mostly, is to erase too much. Too much erasing or using rubbers in this case distorts and roughens the surface of the paper. That's why I use sticky tac or kneaded erasers. You can just roll those suckers and they don't roughen the paper as much. But of course Jim Lee's gonna ink after the sketches, I tend to mostly graphite only and sometimes ink.

Nobody draws Gambit & Rogue like Jim Lee, matter of fact nobody draws any of the X-men like Jim Lee. He’s a once in a generation type of talent!

Nobody can really do Gambit justice quite like Jim Lee. It's pretty much his baby, birthed out of his artistic mind.

I'd take Jim with or without Chris.
@tmoney3606 жыл бұрын
VZA inn the grand scheme I would also. Shot I bought all-Star Batman and Robin just because of Jim's art but as an X-Men fan the Claremont/Lee combination is Legendary. I'd settle for Lee but I think that duo coming back together one more time on the characters that helped make them as popular as they are would be such a bigger draw.

Rogue's rendering is quite a bit unlike Jim Lee's style back when he drew X-men in the 90s. I wouldn't even recognize as his, but Gambit's face somehow deviates less from his 90s style.

@phily-phil6 жыл бұрын
I do seem to remember reading a Jim Lee interview a long time ago (maybe in Wizard magazine), where he (Lee) was thinking of a younger Clint Eastwood type as his inspiration when designing Gambit.

Oops, sorry I just thought they would make the ideal couple. If Jim Lee ever decided to do another DC book, those two would be perfect to tell a story about with Bane as the story villain. There was this Highlander TV spin-off called THE RAVEN, that type of chemistry.
