Great to see you carrying the flag still Jim! God bless you! Still got all my Yardbirds singles from 64-67. And the Renaissance lp's. They will live forever...because they are original and powerful.

Still at playing music and able to, obviously. How's he a cunt? He comes across as down to earth and likeable.

If you get the chance to see the film 'Blow Up!' do so! Great film,and a sequence with The Yardbirds with Jimmy Page,and Jeff Beck! Awesome!!!

Just saw the Yardbirds. Killer show! Johnny A and Kenny Aaronson are in the band right now. With those heavyweights in the mix it sounded outstanding.

It's funny how jonesy never comes prepared for his interviews

Still a punk I guess!!! But Steve is still such a cool guy!

I love Jonsey and his approach, but in this one it was perhaps a little too under-prepared - I don't think he was even aware that Beck, Page and Clapton had all been Yardbirds at different points.

Yardbirds... in that movie Blow up was the peak

Enjoying listening from New Jersey! Thanks to the internet and smartphone app KLOS can be listened to here in New Jersey! Steve Jones is such a cool radio D.J. ! He should be broadcast worldwide! :) Cool to have a Sex Pistol and a Yardbird having COOL chat! :)

Loved the Yardbirds ! The First Led Zeppelin Record was a Yardbirds record. It is still my favorite Zeppelin record if I had to choice one and bought it when it came out at K-Mart for $3.33 cents ! Not a Blue Light Special at the time shoppers.

Do more homework Jones, you could ask way more intriguing questions for an early 60s musician.

Why is the only original member usually the drummer? I found that out with a lot of these bands, Iron Butterfly also comes to mind.
@lmjones77165 жыл бұрын
Probably because drummers usually don't have as many writing credits and need to earn some dough.
@thekitowl2 жыл бұрын
@@lmjones7716 actually Jim did co write some of their songs.

Sometimes Jonesy sounds like Chris Farley interviewing Paul McCartney

some might find jonesy's lack of knowledge of the yardbirds and jim strange but....many good musicians i have worked with in music ...never were really music fans so much...they get inspired by songs and so on but dont really read interviews or stare at albums and credits

Although I wouldn’t include Little Games . It’s awful.
@jonathansteadman79352 жыл бұрын
No,...he didn't, as the other guy said, Little Games , Mickie Most involved album, is crap, even the band didn't like it.

Kieth Relf suffered from emphysema and asthma, which may have contributed to his death , he wasn't the healthiest person

he thinks mickey most made them sound "too poppy" there is NO SUCH THING!
@doccyclopz4 жыл бұрын
You're kidding right? You did know that when Most recorded "Ha Ha Said the Clown & Ten Little Indians" the PRICK only wanted Keith Relf's vocal, the rest of the Yardies weren't needed as he had studio musicians!!! So instead of the 'birds releasing "You Stole my Love" or "Avron Knows", we got Most's Pop crap take on Ten Little Indians.
