Gentlemen Jim's music was introduced to me by my Dad when I was a very young man. At the age of eightteen among my eight track tape collection was a Jim Reeves tape that had this song on it. I still knew the words to it even though I hadn't heard it in a very long time. Jim's voice was like velvet. RIP Dad, you had great taste in music.

I'm a big fan of Jim Reeves from Holland. I grew up with his music because my father had some Jim Reeves vinyl records in the early 70's. Now that I'm older I have re-discovered his great voice and music. I lately have bought a lot of vinyl records of Jim in 'second hand dump stores' Btw it's also great music to play in the car 👌 Greets from Holland🇳🇱 (The Netherlands, Europe)

Actually Jim was just 20 days short of his 41st birthday when he died: Born 20th Aug 1923 - Died 31st July 1964. Still far too young though. He would have been 90 this year (2013)

Kael Waters It is definitely a Rickenbacker. The Rickenbacker model name was "Blue Boy Martin" - I did hear once that the neck was made by Rickenbacker and the body was made by Martin, but can't find further evidence of this.
