Im always hesitant when someone ask me who's my favorite OP character, but after Jinbei official joined, i can easily say it's him. I've always wanted to see him on the Sunny ever since Impel Down and Marineford, he was truly the greatest ally for Luffy and provided him tremendous guidance while he was on his own without his nakama. And on top of that he risked his life to save Luffy at all cost. He's wise, mature, and just genuinely a very considerate person

Exactly this! Jinbei is a precious addition to the crew not only for his strength but for his loyalty and caring. Remember how since he first met Luffy in Impel Down, he decided to follow and protect him not because he was someone else's relative (Ace's brother or Dragon's son or whatever) or to see/confront Whitebeard like the others but because he genuinely thought that Luffy was a brave guy. He doesn't care about his family, he just immediately appreciates Luffy for what he is, and that's something I have to love the most about him. He first right with the Straw Hats.

I love how Jimbe just joined because of what he’s seen of Luffy and the Strawhats, like he’s only seen them be badass and reliable, he has no idea the bunch of goofballs that they are, yes even Robin is a goofball.

Honestly the funniest part about this is Jimbei got scolded for respecting the totem pole Luffy is the captain he can do whatever he wants and Zoro is the Vice-Captain who can similiary do whatever he wants if it doesn't conflict with the captains orders Jimbei recognized that and recognized he was still new therefore couldn't really stop them and then got scolded by everyone else

@@Maxclockwork Nami's job as a navigator does put her up the totem pole a fair bit and leads to her giving orders here anf there but Zoro is almost definitively the VC

@@Maxclockwork I mean: 1. Zoro is litteraly constantly mistaken as the captain over Luffy 2. Zoro is the only other Supernova on the crew 3. Zoro basically always fights the right hand of the enemy 4. Zoro is without a doubt the most loyal crew mate And 5 is manga spoilers so I won't get into it
