Oh man that’s the one half of the really good fishing rod holders lol!! I just made one for my uncle! Looks exactly the same and then the rod end holder just has a hole through!! Awesome! Lol

love the projects mate. just an idea, drill a pilot hole all the way through, then follow up with the forstner drilling half way from both sides. all the best.

Thank I was looking to see if you cut both 42 inches holes and angels on the band side all on the same side or did you have flip it for left and right side or does it matter both pieces cut holes and angel cuts are the same

How far were your holes cut apart?

Just a tip: You can easily fabricate an internal sander by cutting a slot in your dowel, doubling your sandpaper and insert it in the slot, then just chuck it up in your drill and have at it...

they have sand paper for bird perches at walmart and pet stores that would be perfect for sanding out those holes!

Came out great! I think if you were concern with the holes, maybe first drill pilot hole, then half way one side, then the other side... more work, but hey, aren't we having fun or what?

Nice Rack Jimbo! How wide by how long is your shop (just the working area). In one of my videos I had to sand some holes, I used my die grinder and a flap wheel. Worked great. Keep up the videos, I love them and your projects.

What you are calling a hat is in fact a cap. It is easy to remember cap because the letter "C" is the shape of the beak on a Cap. Hats have the brim passing all of the way around, like a cowboy hat.

Not patented, super simple concept. I made a rack just like that in 6th grade wood shop class (1986). No need to give undue credit to another channel.
