What a great reaction. All your points are spot on. You are totally right about them not expressing their sexuality. They are not trying to be beautiful, they just happen to be beautiful. I once read that a record company wanted to change they way they looked and sounded. They were asked if they want to play in front of 12 or 12000? Pau spoke up and said, "The Warning would rather play in front of 12 if it meant keeping our integrity and music the way we want to play. How cool is that? Lets just call it for what it is. Ofc they're sexualized, they wear tight clothes, make up, hair fixed up nice....they don't roll out of bed like this I guarantee you. What they haven't done is oversexualize themselves. They could be sporting revealing tops, short skirts etc. To say they haven't sexualized themselves is nonsense though, almost all of us do most days in our lives, we want to put up a nice front when we venture out into the world meeting other people. You’re totally correct that The Warning have received advice in the past that didn’t match up with their vision, and with a lot of support from family, management and fans like us, they’ve been able to make a living while charting their own course. As time goes by and they mature as people, they may well write music about sexuality - it’s a part of life after all - but if that time ever comes it’ll be on THEIR terms, not for purely commercial purposes. That’s what artistic freedom is all about, regardless of gender.

The bands that are going to the last the longest are the bands that ignore the trends in my opinion. Trends come and go, and so will those bands. If they stick to their music and ignore the trends they will eventually be right up there with the biggest names in rock history, most of them also ignored trends. It's longevity and not about getting a hit today and gone tomorrow.

I first discovered The Warning back in mid 2015 and have not missed a single day for well over five years in which I have listened to or watched a video of these amazing young sisters. In my 61 years of life I have never been so into a band as I am these young ladies. I have been saying for many years now that they would one day be known world wide and be recognized as one of, if not the greatest power trio of all time. As you see here, they are well on their way to bringing that prediction to fruition. It has been a joyous ride watching them “evolve” from three very young girls doing covers on KZbin to the full on rock stars we now see exploding on the world music scene. With the release of not just “Choke” and “Evolve” as singles, but the yet to be named album from which they come, these sisters have not just opened up doors of unlimited opportunity, but kicked them down! I believe they will absolutely sell out ANY venue they chose to perform, including major arenas and stadiums. It is also worth noting that the sisters have stated on their Patreon page that they do not consider either one of these songs to be the best nor their favorites of the album. Matter of fact, they rate this one as only the 10th out of 12 songs on the entire album…..let that sink in! LONG LIVE THE VILLARREAL SISTERS aka THE WARNING!

I know this is a year old reaction. But I subscribed because your channel is doing it the way I wish more reactors would. The video being reviewed dominates the screen and you are in the corner. I LOVE what you have to say about them being true to themselves, not being overtly sexualized or following any trends. That is a part of their mystique and it has so much to do with why I love them so much. I'm not hating on this person, but just using as an example. Lizzy Hale as talented as she is needs to come out here with basically a gimmick look. Not anything against her look, but what we seen in The Warning is that put their music up front and don't distract with gimmicks. They walk out there looking like the least suspect being capable and proceed to rock everyone's face off. No gimmicks. No trends. Just being themselves. Take a closer look at their stage presence. Zero rock posing. Instead they just do how they feel. Obviously Pau is stuck behind the drum kit, but Ale goes about with her patented Ale dance pretty much feeling her music. Dany will bounce around the stage when she's not in front of her mic. When I say bounce I mean happy go lucky type bouncing. No rock strutting or posing. They just do their own thing, yet their music isn't like nerdy dorky trend of the moment. It's got that classic hard rock vibe undertone holding up a fantastic take on musical styling. I love it. Yeah, Pau sort of dominates this song. Even without the visual the drumming stands out. With there previous song Dany stood out quite a bit and Ale's bass lines with too cool to ignore. In that song Pau's drumming keeps a hitting beat while her signature drum rolls/fills makes sure she isn't forgotten. In this song it seems Ale's bass line gets that assignment. Steady in the groove, but not as flashy as the previous song. Overall, yeah, incredible video/performance/song from an incredible band. The Warning the new Queens of Rock.

Elements such as punk, pop, and even a little grunge give it a fresh sound but at its core it's hard rock. They don't sound like anyone else in particular but there are some influences that can be heard. 😊

Absolutely right! Great reaction! Pau stands out, but I really wish the bass was turned up just bit in the mix, because Ale is Killing it! Until recently all their video's (at least all home made) were filmed using iPhones. Question of budget. They even did a entertaining quarantine concert on iPhones. The music/vocals balance was not perfect but it was a really fun show.

Totally agree with everything. One thing I've noticed from the get-go, since I discovered this group in 2017, is that they always had decent, age appropriate clothing. Their outfits matured right along with them, but always decent. This is one group of youngsters that rocks hard, in appropriate attire. In their second Ted Talk Dany explains how label reps wanted to "change them for the wrong reasons." One doesn't have to imagine too hard of how they wanted to them to change, in sound, and in presentation.

I also agree with you that they have stayed away from sexualization of themselves because frankly speaking their music overrides everything else in this business. If The Warning were three slightly overweight hairy dudes, would I be as interested and engrossed by The Warning? Maybe not. But if the music wasn't as stellar as it is, I would have lost interest a long time ago. Anyone with two eyeballs can see the ladies are super attractive but it really is all about the music.

We shower, we dress, we shave, women put on makeup, we put on some sort of cologne or perfume, we dress for confidence, for success. Youre confusing sexualizing with getting ready for the day. Tight close, baggy clothes, crop tops, what have you. Thats how women dress. Nothing wrong with that. What I meant is that they dont have to rely on showing a lot of unnecessary body parts like cleavage to get more fans or sell more albums.
