The man slept while playing the guitar. He wasn't a man. But, an extension of a guitar. Plus, tons of lsd and acid
@lookierebuddy213 жыл бұрын
Never thought any teachers considered it as 'epic' as I do. Thanks. Saves me from having to ask. One of my favs in that there is something roiling and molten about the sound which is one very groovy states around which Hendrix composed. Much obliged.

Always been my favorite Hendrix song. Thanks.

Bret, I know you did this a while back, but had to just say it's an epic, epic lesson. The spooky riff is like this haunting nostalgia time-capsule thing that sends me back to waiting for the bus with my huge mop of hair & plaid 3 piece suit I was forced to wear in first grade -- early 70s. 1983... may be the greatest song ever. Chills me right to the core. Seriously, thanks for the killer lesson. The longer I play, the more I am in awe of Hendrix's genius. The man was a supernova.

Hear Jimi's awesome album version in great audio at vimeo.com/78819718 I was blessed to see Jimi live in Fort Worth Texas of all places. In those days you could buy cheap seats and then just wander down to the front, where I put my elbows on the stage and watched Jimi perform about 10 feet away.

Awesome lesson man, thank you! Probably the best, most accurate lesson Ive seen on 1983. Would love to see some insight behind the solo, what position hes on, maybe if hes using a particular "mode" for the rest of his 8 minute voyage to Atlantis. Even though its only about 10 seconds long, its one of my favorite Hendrix solos'; it is just so perfect, so fitting for the song.

One thing that separate Jimi from other players, he play as if he was sight reading or was trained to do so, no sloppy playing no place and used correct note values. To get his music you really need to get the orginal transcriptions.
