I think there was a shy streak in Mr. Hendrix. Very humbling....what a fellow.
@WaveRyeDer9913 жыл бұрын
Jimi is noted (historically & factually) as being shy. One of the hallmarks of being shy is to avoid eye contact. He was also highly intelligent and athletic (a fucking para trooper in the Military). He was not heavily into drugs, he did them recreationally like most people do. His music proves that he was more into art/life than drugs.

I find many talented artists don't like eye contact, it makes them feel uncomfortable staring in to someones soul.

Without eye contact, the person maybe perceived as shifty.

he's deep in thought...why worry about loking at someone in the eyes...he's looking out as he's thinking...the guy was very intelegent...mabie he was thinking about what to eat at the same time or something he was working on.. though the blues revival did make a stir...who knows? would have been amazing to be able to talk with him.. always amazed at how he expresses himself....so tuned in to life..not in a haze.

@MrSoymoney I agree to a point. I did alot of LSD back then and it affected my social behavior. I struggled with a stutter as a kid and I can always tell when someone has had to overcome it. I can see it Jimi. Jimi had great world vision and tried to get his message out much like Ghandi or Jesus Christ. Even though tbe Brits embraced him, he was so misunderstood. He would try in interviews but would use his usual substitute cliche phrases to back out of what he really wanted to say

I like the part where Jimi's talking about not wanting to go back in the past and repeat what's already been done... wanting to get new things together. Noel laughs when Jimi says: "You know, why go back there and drag out Blue Suede Shoes?" Me saying it isn't funny at all - you have to watch it in context and hear the totally bored, old and tired tone Jimi changes his voice to when he says: "blue suede shoes". It’s at 1:09

What does Mitch say right in between the parts I typed out? Where I typed the underscores: “…Like I hope they listen to me. Coz actually, we have ____________. You might recall it one night and listen to it…” It’s right around 2:07. Thanks to anyone who can tell me.
