Michael Jeffries was responsible for the virtually worthless contracts that Mitch Mitchell and Noel Redding signed in 1966, cutting them out of record royalties. Then Jeffries paid them a meager salary, misappropriating most of their concert wages through offshore holding companies (Yameta Trust Company) in the Bahamas, where only Jeffries had access to numbered bank accounts. Jeffries learned the ropes good in stealing royalties and concert cash when he managed The Animals. He also deposited their earnings in Bahamian bank accounts that most of the band never saw.
