I was blown away by Set me free pt. 2! The choreo and dancing are amazing and his stylistic choice really surprising. The words on his chest are not in Latin, but in German (that's why it looks a bit like English in parts). It's a poem by Rainer Maria Rilke. It's dark but the song/mv is not as sexual as it seems. Jimin said that its about escaping reality to deal with one's wounds. The "she" he is referring to isn't necessarily about a love interest but possibly represents Jimin's Anima. We see a girl whose movements mirror Jimin in the mv, they never meet before Jimin cuts to looking at himself in the mirror What does the Anima means? - An individual's true inner self that in the analytical psychology of Carl Jung reflects archetypal ideals of conduct. Your anima is the unconscious part of your mind that works automatically, without introspection or awareness. Some psychologists believe your anima affects your dreams, fears, and habits (loop this back to what the song is all about). Also the Anima is an inner feminine part of the male personality. Hence the boy and girl kissing is probably Jimin's masculine and feminine side coming together.

Some choreo was from a Jackson Wang song called Blow. The more i watch the more i find things i did not notice on the 1st watch. The body tat German poem is beautiful and very fitting. Heard Sienna Lalau worked on this choreo. Not sure if she created alone or with a team though. UCLA choir was used again. They use them all the time on songs. The spiral/ the golden ratio, shell, 9, metaphors used as usual. The moon series of tats on his back is real. His Nevermind tat on his ribs is real and his 13 tat on his wrist is real too. The German poem on his chest tat was temporary. Jimin also has a 7 tat bet. His fingers on one hand. He has young forever tat above his elbows and youth behind his ear. Adore this 80s synth pop sound. So much hidden meaning in this. I was shocked by this MV. There is choreography, he performed it on Jimmy Fallon. =0) I hope u check that live stage out. His album is about his feeling about the pandemic. So i try to see that in the songs. Him singing that he wants to be in the lights to me he is saying he wants to be on stage. Her jacket is similar to the one he wears for the hardware version, her muddied hand pulls him into the club and then their actions mirror each other. When they finally face each other, Jimin facing himself, she disappears and Jimin's hand is now muddied, so it's implied he's finally accepted her and they've merged into one Jimin. I don't think it's a secret that Jimin has struggled with his softer side and earlier tried to mask it with hyper-masculinity. This song and album also make me think he tried to handle it with alcohol. So glad he has the members and people to support him and that he's in a better place now, when it comes to accepting himself. Such a beautiful person inside and out, he deserves the best things!
