Welcome to BTS! Jimin is part of the 7-member globally popular group from South Korea called BTS. BTS debuted back in 2013 and have a huge discography that crosses multiple genres. Since they are in various stages of completing their mandatory military service in Korea, all seven did solo projects prior to enlisting. They will regroup in 2025 once everyone has completed their military obligation. I strongly encourage you to delve deeper into more of Jimin, as well as the the other members’ solo works and their body of work as a team. As a dedicated ARMY (which is the name of the BTS fandom), I’m very confident that you won’t be disappointed! To get a little feel of BTS’s diverse discography, you’d likely have fun checking out the 2021 Festa Room Live where they sing a medley of their B-sides from across the years. Also every one of the seven members are just insanely talented. All their content is amazing and there really isn’t a “miss”, so just dive in and have fun! The BTS guys, particularly RM, Suga and J-Hope are genius lyricists, so always try to turn on the CCs. The vast majority of their songs have very deep lyrics with multiple layers of meanings, incredible word play and many times are full of cultural, historical, literary and psychological references. Because of this, there tends to be explanation videos for many of their songs which prove to be really helpful and interesting (I like the ones put out by DKDKTV Explained by a Korean or Bookish Theories). Also, just so you know, their live performances are even better than their music videos. You’ll find, if you delve a bit deeper, that each of their songs is unique. Hope you choose to explore further. ✨Jimin’s name is credited in 6/7 songs, writing & composing for his already highly successful, record breaking 2nd album MUSE. Jimin is also credited producing, with the exception of a couple of songs. Even on Jimin’s previous FACE album, though Jimin wasn’t credited producing, aside from Jimin composing most melodies, & pretty much writing all the lyrics, he indeed was involved, participating, as shown in Jimin’s FACE production documentary. Even though also not credited for song “Who” from his MUSE album, Jimin is always hands on, coming up with the concept of the song, what he wanted the lyrics to be about & mean, at the studio throughout overseeing & giving input on every level. The concept, storyline & look & feel of MV was also Jimin’s vision, his idea. Jimin even was the one who did the choreography! “Who”, is the title track which indeed MV of which does always get released the same time as album officially drops! The look of the MV, the concept, as well as the staging & placement of the dancing in the MV, as well as the filming Jimin also oversaw! The quality of the filming, and especially the way Jimin looks, the way he walks, but most of all, his on another level, breathtakingly spectacular vocals, stratospheric high notes, Jimin’s equally breathtaking, absolutely spectacular, also on another level, dancing, as well as the stunning choreography, which Jimin created, along with the amazing backup dancers, makes this all the more enjoyable, to watch! Funny you mentioned rain. Jimin had to shoot this the night he flew into the Budapest, Hungary location because a storm was coming. He is a member of the Korean supergroup BTS. They debuted in 2013 and have a huge discography. Jimin is currently doing mandatory service in the South Korean military, so this song and the solo album Muse were released on a prearranged schedule. I suggest reacting to Jimin's new songs and BTS.

Side note , the 6 male dancers representing the 6 missing members of BTS in his solo video. Jimin is one of the 7 members but "brother" members often are represented in the solo projects of all the members.

Just one thing: K-pop is not a gente, but an industry. The artists flow in different genres, but generally R&B, Indie, and Hip-hop. BTS started as K-pop, but nowadays they are way beyond. They produce songs in different genres, mostly mixing some in an exciting way (they are three rappers and four vocalists, but they all do everything! (dancing, singing, rapping, songwriting, composing, producing, etc) This is Jimin, one of the vocalists. He has a very special voice, is a professional dancer, used to practice martial arts (black belt in more than one). All of them are excellent (and complete) artists.

Because you're new to all of this let me share some information that I think you might find helpful. Jimin is one of the members of BTS. BTS is known to have the most amazing videos with an almost limitless budget. This video was filmed in Hungary. You referred to k-pop as a genre. K-pop is an industry not a genre. I loved your enthusiasm watching Jimin's video. I hope you continue to discover more of BTS and the members solo work. Here's a brief description. Jimin long left school he's already got his Masters Degree. He's saying I'm ready to give everything I have but I just haven't found the girl yet. He's currently over half way through his military duties and will return in 2025 with the rest his members. Jimin is one 7th of BTS the biggest Global Group on the planet. They all do solo work as well as being BTS. He's 29years old.

Depends on which style you want to go with and not in any particular order. BTS has a very unique fandom. The name of the fandom is Army. Army is extremely protective of BTS. If you’re going to start on this journey, I strongly suggest you watch “the Bantang 7 the Taylor Marie guide”. You might think you’re dealing with a regular boyband with lots of fans and that will be your first mistake. The connection between these artists and fans are very different. Army has been growing up with BTS since before they debuted in June 13, 2013. We always say that you don’t find BTS, BTS finds you when you least expect it. Real Army are good people but with every fandom there is less than 1% that call themselves Army and don’t follow the message of love and acceptance that BTS embodies. Don’t listen to the haters. 💜

Jimin is part of the group BTS. This was his solo work off his second solo album. Jimin has my favorite vocal tone. My favorite all-time solo song is Lie, which you have to watch live. 💜

I just found you. I couldn't pass by your title..."First Time Reaction to K-Pop." Welcome to this world of amazing talent. Jimin is part of BTS, the #1 group in the world. A brief bit of history. They debuted in 2013. Compiled 10 years of amazing content. After the pandemic they decided to all take a year off. And NO. They didn't break up. They were completely exhausted. They worked even during the pandemic. They were all burned out. Another reason they took the year off, everyone of them would be reporting to do their mandatory military service. In South Korea, every man must complete about a year and a half of service. So during this past year, at different intervals they have entered the service. The oldest, Jin, just completed his service after entering first. The rest of the members are currently serving. This song was written and produced and filmed before Jimin left for the military. All of the 7 members have provided us with their solo work while they've been away. So that is their status now. At the end of 2025 they will all have have completed their duty. And BTS will get back together and begin their Chapter 2. K-Pop is a label for Korean groups...supposedly singing just Pop. BTS is all Korean, but they don't belong in just the Pop category. They sing and perform all genres. I am hoping you will continue your journey in discovering everything about this talented group. I'm sure others will recommend other solo songs because that's what they've been "dropping" this year. But, I invite you to start your journey watching the complete group performing. "Mic Drop" is a popular starter song. Then watch a completely different genre with another contrasting favorite "Black Swan." Their company Hybe started out as Big Hit. A poor company going bankrupt. But as success continued they were able to produce Movie Quality MV's. Right after the pandemic they put out 3 English speaking songs that immediately went to number 1 on Billboard and stayed there. They are more of a fun Pop sound because they wanted to make fun uplifting songs for the world because of all the sad times during covid. So watch "Dynamie". "Butter". And "Permission to Dance." A good sampling of their Pop songs. Then dive in deep to the rest of their songs. Many very deep. So much that an explanation video is needed. "Blood, Sweat. And Tears" is one of their most complex deep songs. It's so good! I hope to see you again soon. Welcome again from all of us. BTS's fans are called Army. We will watch your journey with delight!!

"Who" wasn't filmed in the U.S. It was filmed in Hungary. Since you are new, you don't know about this. Find and watch "Behind the Scenes" of the filming of "Who." Many of BTS's and their solo MV's have a "Behind the Scenes" video to watch. They are great to watch. You learn a lot. And here is what we all learned. Jimin and his dancers and crew got off the plane in Hungary and immediately went to the set. They were supposed to start filming the next day. But they found out a big storm was coming, so immediately after getting off the plane, they started filming the MV in the cold all night long. Amazing. Jimin filmed a Live version where he sang Live even though it was taped. It was shown on the Jimmy Fallon show. There are also dance practice videos to watch. You get to see the complete choreography in detail with no set or distracting special effects or lighting. It's the dance choreography they will dance Live on stage at a concert. Oh, you have so much to discover. Jimin helped write and compose the song with a group of talented musicians. He wrote all the songs on this album, "Muse." It took him a year and a half to do all the work to completion!
