Does BTS cuss!? 😂 I guess you haven't gotten to BTS rapline yet, let alone their solo stuff. The only members I don't ever recall cussing in any of their solo work is V & Jin. BTS does not shy away from being controversial either. Especially in their early hip hop songs. BTS doesn't follow the harsh K-pop structure like other groups. And, BTS broke out of the K-pop label along time ago. 💜

❣️Jimin “Set Me Free Pt.2’, it’s everything & more then I could hope for, Jimin’s amazing artistry, his so beyond spectacular,, so mesmerizing, phenomenal performance! The song, Jimin’s vocals, his dancing, the amazing choreography, which aside from the two main choreographers, he had a hand in, offering suggestions, also the amazing backup dancers, the lyrics he wrote, the music he composed as well as being involved in the production, even the set design of the MV. Jimin was hands on, involved with every facet! No wonder the in-house legendary producer for BigHit Pdogg, who worked with Jimin throughout the whole album, stated that “in 2023 K-pop will be ended by Park Jimin”! Seeing this made me that much more excited, for the full album, Jimin’s “FACE” released last yr on March 24, along with his main song ‘Like Crazy’ MV. Jimin’s other songs “Face-Off” (trap beat, absolute fire), “Alone”(hauntingly beautiful vocals), as well as hidden track “Letter” (Jimin plays guitar, meaningful, heartfelt fan song, thanking army for their support), are all equally amazing! Though Jimin’s song ‘Set Me Free Pt.2’, blew me away , meeting all my expectations & then some, I was also not totally surprised, because indeed Jimin is now ‘set free’ from the confines of being part of a group, to now be able to open up full throttle and ‘finally’ be able to release all that he held back for so many yrs! Jimin has been involved in every facet of creating this album! Hands on all the way, perfectionist that he is, including writing lyrics, composing, as well as being heavily involved in production! Jimin’s true, real, inner self will be finally seen in all its raw, authentic, amazing, heartfelt, passionate, emotional, sincere glory! This is aside from Jimin’s full range, hardly ever being shown, aside from high notes, but being finally able to show his full registry, mid range as well as lower registry as well!. Often not being fully taken advantage of, but that comes with being part of a group, that has every single member having so much talent that it’s been limiting for Jimin, especially him being so selfless, making a point of having others shine before himself. Now the spotlight will be just on him! Though we’ve seen Jimin’s amazingly spectacular, so mesmerizingly outstanding solo performances before. But now, as Jimin himself, mentioned, he’ll indeed be showing the depth of his raw inner self! The album was written, expressing all emotions, thoughts & feelings he went through during the yrs of the pandemic, sharing these innermost feelings with the intent on having others relate during their dark times. Jimin has also said that with all the members now exploring & expressing their own individual talent , it will just make BTS that much stronger when they come back together as a group! In an interview Jimin explained: "I tried to express the grand scale of the song and [the ideas of] determination, passion, and overcoming. “Set me free” means setting myself free, so I thought it was important that I be the one to set myself free - not someone else.👍🙏❤️‍🔥🔥😍🤩🌟✨⚡️

Jimin in his solo stuff always includes female dancers, like crazy who set me free pt2. All have female dancers. And you would be shocked to know that they do drink a lot, korea has a culture of drinking. So it's very common. And they also do curse in their songs but only in their solo stuff so far.

❣Aside from Jimin writing the lyrics, composing the melody, as well as being involved in producing the song, Jimin was also involved in the production of the MV. It was his idea to have the set designed like a circular prison. He was also hands on involved with the choreography. It was Jimin’s idea also to go shirtless in second half, with the writing on Jimin’s torso, all his idea, the German words of well known famous 19th century Austrian poet, Widening Circles, Written by Rainer Maria Rilke. Germany (1875 - 1926)which connects in some ways, to Jimin’s song as well as the circle theme Jimin designed for his FACE album cover: ❤‍🔥👍😍🔥🔥 I live my life in widening circles that reach out across the world. I may not complete this last one but I give myself to it. I circle around God, around the primordial tower. I’ve been circling for thousands of years and I still don’t know: am I a falcon, a storm, or a great song?

korea has the biggest drinking culture after the uk lol, and bts swear in most of their work but tbh you guys have only heard a handful of their stuff so understandable you’re not used to it. also jimin and jungkook have had loads of female dancers / actors in their performmances/ music videos and bts has a female led dance group in the ‘ON’ music video. also don’t worry, the ‘pt 2’ isn’t actually a continuation of jimins work but is actually a reference to suga, who has a solo song called ‘set me free’. there’s a small conceptual link there so you may wanna hear that separately, but there’s no video and it’s just an album b side so i’d recommend other suga solo work before that, it’s one of my favourite interludes i’ve heard before though. and i think music should be interpreted individualistically but a brief summary of the song; jimin wants to be free of expectations, perceptions of his past self, and he sets HIMSELF free from that instead of relying on others to free him. it was also jimins first song after the bts members announced to be going to the military so it introduced us to jimins official solo era which may provide more context. i recommend you guys to watch RM from bts’ tiny desk performance he did. i think it’s a perfect video for you guys seeing as you guys have liked his solo music and he actually briefly explains the meaning behind each song he performs on there which i think you guys would also prefer. his lyrics are very profound so it might be hard to catch at for so, but his explanations are so tasteful so the whole video is really interesting to me. he performs 3 songs; ‘seoul’ from his 2nd mixtape, ‘yun’ featuring THE legend erykah badu from his first official album, and ‘still life’ ft anderson paak which you guys have reacted to before

Because people are ignorant and only see them as “k pop boys” even though they have some of the hardest rappers/most dynamic lyricists/vocalists out of SK. And a lot of non-Asians tend to weirdly infantilize East Asian artists. Him saying “I didn’t know they were allowed to drink” was very embarrassing to hear as an American. Like wtf is he talking about.

To be fair, unless one is DEEP into the fandom, this is NOT common knowledge. Kpop as a general genre is made to be diluted and tame. And that is the image the industry generally tries to project to the public. Squeaky clean, cute and innocent. That's just the truth. It's only in "phase 2" that it's beginning to be a little different in terms of what sides of themselves they show. Or like their stuff from the beginning when they were more rap/hip hop culture heavy

When this song was made, I felt really attached to it,” he told Consequence of Sound about his first solo project. “I went to the U.S. myself for the choir recording, and listening to it right next to them was truly amazing. I remember it as a really good memory.” The song - which features majestic choir backing, a booming hip-hop beat and urgent Auto-Tuned vocals - is slated to appear on Jimin’s upcoming solo album, FACE, which is due out on March 24. And though it is tagged as a sequel, any ARMY member can tell you that there is, in fact, no original “Set Me Free” in Jimin’s discography. The singer explained to CoS that the title is a wink a song on bandmate Suga’s 2020 D-2 mixtape from alter ego Agust D. “There isn’t a connection, and we weren’t trying to divide part one or part two,” he said. “But since it turns out my song talks about freedom and moving forward, and SUGA’s song talks about some of the stories that come before, I thought it would be good to come after that.” Asked to break down the message of the track - which he described as having a light/dark, black/white energy - Jimin said he focused on the concepts of “determination, passion, and overcoming” and that the title is about him, well, setting himself free. “So I thought it was important that I be the one to set myself free - not someone else,” he said. “In the end, I’m the one who has to set myself free.”

Set me Free pt1 is Suga's song. They touch on similar topics but are not connected. Per Jimin in an interview. Also this song was written by Jimin to showcase how he felt and was dealing with depression during the pandemic. The dark auto tuned voices are a stylistic choice to represent the negative thoughts in his head that was keeping him in depression. The other songs on the album "Face" also shows him working through those dark times.

The dark and light clothes evoke the two visual concepts Jimin put together for his Face album, which Set Me Free pt.2 is from: the hardware and software concepts. In his hardware concept he's dressed in all black, some leather, and some pictures of him shirtless with thorns running up his neck and face. He looks "harder" but give off the feeling that he's protecting himself, wearing a kind of armour. In the software concept, he's wearing comfortable-looking, white clothes, like something you might lounge in. He has a few scratches on his face, and looks quite soft and vulnerable in the pictures. Given that, I think the change to white clothes at the end signals that part of this process of setting himself free involves him being vulnerable in some way, letting down his protective walls to show who he is beneath that.

This has a lot of hidden meanings and its very interesting ...there is an explanation of it all which you can watch because it encopasses a lot of meanings in everything. The background is actually a representation of a prison where the guards can see you but you cant see them, you see lights only so you know they are there. hence all dressed in black uniformally, the white represents he is free now .the maze he travels through, the poetry on his chest is a german poem which is also explicitly connected, Jimin tells stories and in very very artistic way.He wrote this album when we were experiencing covid and each song on the album coincides right to the next telling the story he wants conveyed.Personally Jimin is my favorite because he is the master of his artistry. He has a uniquity in his musical and dance interpretations that is truly rare, his vocals nor dance can be copied and its why hes deemed as the rookies bible.

This is the pre-release song for Jimin's album "Face". There are several interpretations of this song. Jimin is the member that probably is the most hard on himself. He takes everything regarding his performance too seriously and often times gets really depressed about every little mistake/hiccup that he comes across. The first interpretation is of him letting go of those insecurities and embracing who he is. This album was written about Jimin's experience through the pandemic. The beginning of the album talked about how he was drowning himself with alcohol (Like Crazy) to feel "better", but then he would wake up feeling alone, etc etc. This song is him saying he wants to be free from that cycle of getting drunk and waking up feeling the same depression, etc. I have a tendency to write too much, so i'm keeping my comment short and simple. BTS does have deep meaning. Go react to the rapline. They have a major hand in 98% of all their songs.

For your first paragraph that's not something Jimin does anymore, he hasn't been so hard on himself to the point he gets massively stressed out/depressed/down since idk 2018/2019(??). So pls let's stop spreading that because it hasn't been true for quite some years now.

Oh they drink....Jungkook is known for his drunken live streams sometimes....he flat out fell asleep with the live still going once haha They have drunk BTS compilations which are hysterical. This album Jimin wrote during the Pandemic. He got very depressed by the social isolation and started drinking a lot from what I understand. He really struggled and the others supported him through it. The tattoo is a German poem is about living your life in widening circles. Oh and Jimin has ops. He has played many a show with specific death threats to him personally.

PLEASE READ MY COMMENT FULLY : it seems you guys either dont read all comments or have forgotten cause im sure armys have told you about bts before so either you didnt read it, dont remember or didnt believe the comment after reading it but regardless of what happened. bts are LABELED kpop but they are NOT kpop. kpop is NOT a genre it is a industry. KPOP is not across the board. theres id different rules, different experiences, different practices etc by each label and for each group. the media in western countries has spoken about a few specific cases and said kpop does this when it was that label does this or that group went through this NOT ALL. and most of those cases were from early 2000s. from 2017 things have changed let alone early 2000s. ALL koreans of age drink regardless if theyre a celebrity or not. drugs are whats banned for all citizens unless medicine given by a doctor. bts been cursing since their debut in 2013 when half of them were teens. they never been straight edge they never been perfect idol puppets they never been in the kpop system. the kpop system rejected them banned them excluded them etc you guys saw the hardships video those things led to bts doing other things like using youtube and soundcloud and getting global fans which means the label doesnt rely only on korean fans which means the group has the freedom to do whatever they want creatively AND personally. like bts do NOT have a dating ban because global fans do not care if a celebrity dates. korean fans do but bts dont rely only on korean fans they never did. bts write and producer their own music do all genres curse talk about taboo topics etc etc. please react to bts cyphers 1 - 4 with lyrics. :) please react to RM NUTS and RM domodachi. also you reacted to neva play so you know they curse lol i know you see them as individuals when theyre making solo music but just because its solo music doesnt mean the same "rules" dont apply to all 7 of them. so like if 1 curses doesnt mean that one is just being different they all curse in group and solo music. they are telling their individual stories in their solo music but if you see rm curse that should imply jimin can also curse etc hope you get what im saying. please react to bts and the members more often so you dont forget info in between reactions and try to not drink too much that you forget what youre talking about not saying dont drink i dont tell bts not to i just want you to understand bts and clearly remember what you said and watched lmaoo i read another comment and cracked up 🤣🤣

They swear, drink and often disobey their own company's rules / make spoilers for future projects, cut their hair, etc... About the swearing - I look forward to you paying attention to the rap line. Pt 1 is actually a song from Suga aka Agust D Set me free. Jimin originally wanted Suga on this track I believe to write the song but decided to write it himself instead. He just kept the tittle Set me free Pt.2 . Part 1 does not have anything to do with Part 2. A little confusing I know. Face album is him writing about his darkest times during Covid.

@intoxicated reactions, this should interest you - With 100.9 million 9-liter cases sold worldwide in 2022, Jinro Soju is the Most Popular Spirit Brand in the world. Just to add some context South Korea is the same size as the state of Indiana. Jinro is only one brand of the many brands of Soju. Alcohol is a big deal in South Korea and deeply embedded in their culture. So yes South Koreans absolutely drink and BTS also enjoy it very much and as others have said they drink alcohol on some of their lives and other shows. First I guess you forgot you watched Jimin's video "Who," where he started off dancing with females. Also, JImin understood how this personal album "Face" which this song is from, would be confusing to some. This album was really for him to express how he was feeling during a difficult time in his life. That was then, which isn't how it is now. If you are interested in knowing what he was thinking at this time to have made songs like this on the "Face" album he explain himself very clearly in many other videos and behind the scene videos. Say the word if you are interested and I'll attach otherwise...

There is no part 1. Suga made a song called set me free, so Jimin didn't want their songs to be confused, the songs are not related. I think a LOT of alcohol is consumed in Korea, and BTS definitely like a drink. It is true that most idols are not allowed to swear but BTS do swear in their songs when appropriate. They don't swear just to be contraversial. This song was about Jimin's emotions during the covid lockdown, they had to cancel a huge World Tour that they had been preparing for. Jimin loves to be in front of an audience, he was frustrated and drinking too much from depression.

Ok, my opinion only: Jimin's solo music has gone through a bit of a progression of this theme. It started with Lie from the Wings album, which (imo) was about being trapped by a lie that you tell yourself. The next solo song we got from him is Filter from the album BE (released during covid). It was (imo) about the lavender using a filter to see the parts of him that they want to fit their narrative. This one, imo, is him saying f all that, he's going to be who he really is. As for pt. 2, it's just referencing Suga's song "Interlude: Set Me Free", but is not a direct continuation. IMO, I think all of the guys have grown tired of the idol restrictions placed on them by society and that songs like this, Haegum, and most of RM's new album touch on the topic. And you haven't listened to enough of RM's music if you think they don't cuss. 😂 Istg, MF is his favorite word.

Please don't assume people who are disrespectful and negative in your comments are ARMY (BTS fans). True ARMY follow the messaging of BTS which is overwhelmingly positive and respectful of everyone. Unfortunately, there are plenty of nonARMYs (fans of other Kpop groups, people who only care about one BTS member to the exclusion of the other six, etc.) posing as ARMY acting in ways that stain the ARMY name. It is a serious problem. Please don't associate these people with ARMY. They are just haters.

BTS as a group does not curse and will hide the alcoholic drinks. As Solo artists they are allowed to speak on whatever topics they feel. They are all 30 or approaching 30 so yes they drink. Jk has even held lives drinking alcoholic drinks. Yes female dancers are in solo work but usually not group activities. Just a little fyi.

Oh ya they cuss and drink 😂. I think they try to stay more on the side of being a positive role model. But when they do cuss in their songs its usually raw emotions. Or apart of their story telling. Listen to the rap line's songs lol. They use it the most.

Oh my god do bts curse?😂 army I don't know army do our boys curse 🤣 with lyrics like "haters gonna hate motherf*kers" be mother fu*ki*g all day and" ill be fuc*** you right 7 days a week " oh no they don't cuss at all 😂 sorry jokes just joking. But no seriously so this written during the pandemic and the song is about freedom from all the undeserved criticism from their industry namely the people the music industry who are telling them they are too old they should retire as well as all the disrespect prejudiced and unfiltered hate from close-minded people who are stuck in one view of the group. You see when it comes to K-pop there is something known as a 7-year curse which means that groups or artists only stay popular or on top for 7 years but people underestimated BTS they thought that that would happen with them but they are the estimated the connection they have with army. And for some especially the ones who hate BTS because they like other groups and other groups have never been able to surpass BTS. Because BTS on perfectionists and everything they do is to the utmost quality and it always has a message. About the tattoo. The tattoo on his chest is a German poem about freedom from hate. Also tattoos in Korean culture are not accepted especially on idols they are actually illegal if not done by a doctor in Korea. So for an idol to show off tattoos was almost unheard of until Jungkook got army fandom name tattooed on his hand. Jimins moon phase tattoo was a huge moment because it's something we've only ever seen glimpses of and something he's teased army about for years 😂 so that last shot shook the fandom to the core! 💜

Slightly out of context, my personal opinion but cussing doesn't make you an adult nor cool. Having said that they do curse in some of their songs, especially the rap line. Though they don't mindlessly throw curses like ( exception like joke by rm lmao) they do curse when they want to make a point. And there's a lot of cursing in the solos. Personally I'm not a fan of constant cursing on every line but bts doesn't fall in that category

BTS never follow the norms of KPOP. That's what also set them apart from other groups. You should check out the BTS rappers so you know how they cuss. LOL! You have no idea how different BTS is from other KPOP groups. They have broken so many rules of KPOP. LOL! This is Jimin's own lyrics based on his experience being an idol. He gets so much hate of all the members. Even until now, the hate he gets is just insane. Haters are even calling him animal names. He got death threats a couple of times and didn't even want to be active in social media. He even struggled loving himself during their earlier years as KPOP idols because fans said he is fat and ugly so he had to go on extreme diet just eating 1 meal a day to the point that he collapsed during practice. He was depressed during the pandemic and all those negative thoughts just kept coming back to him and the only resort was to drink alcohol. Jimin drinks alcohol like water. LOL! He was also very sad and frustrated because their concerts were cancelled due to covid 19 and for BTS, being with their fans is life. It's not work. It's true, KPOP idols have to follow a lot of ridiculous rules and they've got to please the fans no matter what. This song is from his FACE album. This album tells stories about his struggles through songs. If you listen to all the songs in his album, you will know what SET ME FREE P2 means. Jimin is talking about his haters and he is fighting against his inner struggles, too. If you noticed, the dancers are like haters/his negative thoughts that keep pulling him in the dark and trying to imprison him. The auto tunes are used to show that he is shouting from within and if he could only cuss them openly. BTS express their thoughts through their music. Jimin in the end, changed his outfit from dark to white to signify that he has now set himself free those haters. Now, he doesn't care anymore whether fans like him or not. He knows for sure that ARMY will still love him no matter what and how much haters hate him. Just so you know, BTS don't just write and produce random songs and put them in an album. Each album has a theme with all the songs interconnected with each other. FACE is a masterpiece and Jimin is credited as songwriter and composer of all the songs. MUSE is his second album which is about expressing his freedom to do what he wants without thinking about the rules of KPOP and about his love for ARMY and his six brothers as well as his longing to find love which is also a NO-NO in KPOP. Once, idols reveal their boyfriends or girlfriends, they are being cancelled by fans. But I think Jimin is already giving the fans some hints through his main track WHO that he is now opening himself to find real love. By the way, there is no Set Me Free Part 1. Suga has a song called SET ME FREE way back in 2020 from his second mixed tape D-2. It has nothing to do with Jimin's. So, Jimin puts Pt2 so as not to confuse fans and to differentiate it from Suga's.
