Great reaction! Alright here's my answer, you asked, if it were a dance battle between Jimin, Chris Brown and Usher who would win? Jimin wins it hands down! He is the most magnificent and awarded dancer, in all of KPOP for 6 years running.. He can do all that Chris Brown and Usher can do, including Stepping Up and Hip Hop, but they cannot do what he can do. Who can match his Aerial Flips, Full House Turns , Mid Air 360 degree turns, Brazilian Kicks, Contemporary, Modern, Ballet and Traditional Korean Dance.? Jimin graduated as the top student from a High School of Arts, he is a formally trained dancer. When he dances it is not about just hitting the moves. To a trained eye, or anyone who truly scrutinize, his dancing, it is his techniques and elegant execution that is flawless and impeccable, right down to his eyes, facial expression, and fingertips. Jimin dances like no one else but only Jimin himself. He is one of the best dance talent beyond compare, in these times, Bar none! 💜 💜

The way his body moves, is always elegantly smooth, sharp and precise, without ugly exaggeration,, that is how good a Dancer Jimin is. Look at his opening and ending in this MV, how he extends and opens his.chest and arms, his head position is worthy of applause. The unique part of this MV, is the walk into dance and dance into a walk parts in four dynamic sets is so good. Jimin choreographed this masterpiece, the man is a genius and sadly underated.

This was filmed in Budapest, Hungary. They filmed the same night he flew in because a big storm was coming. Jimin trained in martial arts and dance as a child/teen and debuted with BTS in 2013 as a dancer while still in high school. His unique countertenor voice was discovered with BTS.

✨Jimin’s name is credited in 6/7 songs, writing & composing for his already successful, record breaking 2nd album, MUSE. Jimin is also credited producing a few of the songs. Though not credited for song “Who” from his MUSE album, Jimin is always hands on, just like as was shown in Jimin’s FACE production documentary. Also for “Who”, coming up with the concept of the song, what he wanted the lyrics to be about & mean. Then making sure it would be translated to English to convey what he intended. The concept, storyline & look & feel of MV was also Jimin’s vision, his idea. Jimin even was the one who did the choreography! The look of the MV, the concept, overseeing the filming & directing as well! Also the staging & placement of the dancing in the MV, as well as the filming Jimin also oversaw! Working non stop on first FACE, then immediately after on MUSE since chapter 2 solos careers of the BTS members started til the very night before he left for military the following day! It’s amazing the so many things Jimin worked on, so many places Jimin went, all that he did non stop, including filming in the abandoned unused resort in Korea, where the Jimmy Fallon Tonight show performance, was filmed, that closed in 2022, that had housed now abandoned swimming pools, not in use anymore. Which is where Jimin went to film the live performance. 🔥Jimin’s vocals live, which you can tell, are always even more amazing, since still able to do so with all that equally amazing dancing such with such strenuous choreo. Jimin also flew to Hungary, only for a couple of days just to film the “Who” MV, which he also created and oversaw the choreography for, just a couple of months or so, before going into the military, end of last yr. and nobody new about it, all for around a couple of yrs. Only time we all heard anything is when ppl he worked with, like the famous producers in LA as well as in NY, posted photos or just comments praising Jimin, while working alongside of him, mentioning as well being so excited about the project they were working on. There were even times when backup dancers posted things that ppl found, saw, so word somewhat got out. But yet, when finally FACE album came out, even then not a one of those producers were involved with any of those songs in FACE. Now we all know that it was for Jimin’s second album MUSE, all those songs, that all those producers were excited about & referring to. But who would have thought that Jimin was already working on second album as well way back then in early 2023, & even possibly earlier. Jimin so impressively & amazingly crammed so much in, trying to get as much content out, all before he left for the military the end of last yr! Writing lyrics, composing melodies, producing many songs, but if not credited always still participating, also coming up with concepts ideas, for look of MV’s as well as overseeing the filming & directing as well! Jimin even created the choreography for his song “Who”. Jimin also is involved in design of album covers, and choosing concept & look during photoshoots! To work on creating all this music, all this content non stop for almost a couple yrs is beyond mind boggling to think about! the song is not about army he sings about a girl or lover he hasn´t met yet he told himself. jimin is the best dancer i have ever seen he is so fluent and natural when he dance just like usher and james brown. he also did a dance cover of MJ black and white he danced that with his teamamate JK also from BTS. it is copyrighted so it will be hard to react to it. however Jimin is professional trained comtemporary dancer and also dance popping and locking. and he is also mester at taekwondo and he somehow found a way to melt all of this togehter when he dance. so he is often praised by his beautiful dance lines. and when he dance contemporary dance he looks like an angel. and his voice is also like an angel he made a tik tok version of this song in aucustic it´s really amazing.

4:52 well if you can call him being on active duty in the military right now a side job, then yes, he has a side job. He will be back in June 2025. But about the lyrics here; in the live performance choreo he walks by 4 girls(dancers) at the "1, 2, 3, 4, 5" lyrics part and stopping at a 5th girl at "5". And he's turning 30 next year. Jimin is born October 13th, 1995. He has danced and done multiple forms of martial arts since he was a kid and has amazing body control and is a crazy good and very versatile dancer. Check out Jimin's song 'Be Mine' too, it has an english version, no MV but an official lyric video. ❣Jimin, growing up, since quite young age, even pre mid school, was always into hip hop & r&b music. Aside from Rain, Taeyang, & BoA, Korean idols, known not just for amazing vocals, but their dance ability, Jimin was also heavily influenced, with other role models, such as Chris Brown, & Usher. So it goes to follow he’d also appreciate other equally well known artists who also were amazing dancers & performers aside from vocal ability. It also goes without saying that Jimin, was indeed heavily influenced by MJ. He even taught Jin to moon dance for Dynamite MV, also Jimin was the one that suggested other MJ moves also for BTS song “Dynamite”. Chris Brown’s choreographer Brian Puspos who Jimin is actually close friend with, both having a mutual love admiration & respect for was the one that did the choreography for “Serendipity”. He even said that Jimin dances his choreo better then he does himself! Jimin has also worked with Puspos who restaged not only a Chris Brown song for Jimin before, but also Drake’s “Own It”. Jimin already at early age of 10, started studying hip hop at the renowned Just Dance Academy, in Busan, city where Jimin’s from, which teaches all the many different styles of hip hop. There is even a post made that shows a performance where young again 11 Jimin in 2007, not only performed already, on right front side of stage, but later on went in front and did a solo. JIMIN also competed, excelling in popping, & isolation moves, winning every competition. JIMIN also since a little boy, trained 8 yrs in various forms of martial arts: Taekwondo (blackbelt), Hapkido, Kendo, & Chinese martial arts. Side Note: When learning Taekwondo, as a little boy, I believe Jimin said that doing the splits was one of the first things required to be able to do. Also did same for contemporary dance. He said that he'd put his legs split, up against the wall for quite long, hrs at a time. This was aside from still attending middle school Jimin, where he was already into all kinds of sports, including being part of soccer team,, but also basketball, even joined after school billiards, also excelling in track & field throughout his schooling. Then, while going to Busan Highschool of the Arts, he then also studied & performed contemporary. Media even called Jimin “The rising star of Busan” after seeing Jimin perform on stage during a huge festival. JIMIN also studied, some ballet as well as even traditional Korean dance. But Jimin’s main love was always hip hop. Though he did enjoy dancing contemporary, which Jimin indeed excels at, to this day all his dance movements, have his exquisite body placement, amazing elegant, poised, clean lines, as well as he also always stands, even without dancing, with out-turned feet, his foot positions always end up while dancing in classical out turned foot position, placement that classically trained dancers have, with extensions all the way to his fingertips, even incorporating his eyes, & facial expressions! Jimin found he could express himself even more through contemporary dance. Very few dancers have the ability to dance as many styles of dance as well as have the ability to incorporate all of them, even his gravity defying, martial arts, moves in his dance. There’s a reason Jimin was not only give the official title of Main Dancer & Lead Vocalist, but has been awarded the prestigious titles for 5 yrs In a row, Best Dancer in Kpop, as well as 6 yrs King of Kpop. Jimin is called Stage Commander for a reason, his stage presence is on another level. Jimin is also called “Rookies Bible” because all rookies look up to him, watching his erformances. over & over, trying to emulate, & learn from his unmatchable, flawless, precise moves. There’s a reason why they call him the King of KPop, Korean MJ and the Korean Chris Brown. Usher is old - he doesn’t have that same flare anymore and his dancing is the same style - no variation Chris Brown makes videos where he’s sitting around and some girl is having pretend s*x on the floor in front of him - that’s just not dancing - he’a list his touch as he’s gotten older This choreo is easy for Jimin on purpose to fit the late 90s aesthetic (same with the ‘movie musical’ vibe). Jimin has something no other dancer has: popping/locking Modern dance (including jazz and ballet) Contemporary Martial arts (8 yrs & black belt in Taekwondo) He takes from every genre of dance there is and creates his own style that no one can duplicate- plus he’s young and got all the energy in the world! Usher's still got it. I havent seen Chris dance in a while, and apparently he's rapping now. Jimin's shows some Michael influence in this choreo. Chris Brown is among the best in his lane (hip hop). But Jimin is beyond that. Unlike most dancers, Jimin is versatile across different types of dancing. Trained in contemporary and martial arts, he brings both into his dancing. Our boy can do full splits and aerial moves. Not obvious here but we can see some elements of interpretive dancing in this choreo (which is done by Jimin) which other hip hop dancers will find it odd to execute. So instead of asking if Jimin is as good as Chris Brown or Usher, what if we ask if they are as good as Jimin. Answer is a clear No. Jimin also an innate grace that cannot be copied.
