It is rare as the idols are supposed to only be for thefans and dancing with females would upset certain immature fans. I also love that when they perform outside of korea, they use a mix of races for dancers. In korea you will never see a black dancer.

It is always a privilege and joy to watch Jimin dance. He’s so light on his feet and so fluid in his movement, it’s like he glides across the floor. Makes you think as you watch him that you too can do those moves 😅 every move is so controlled and subtle it’s just insane. How he can direct his feet one way, slightly move his pelvis the other way, and yet move his arms different way too will always be the 8th wonder of the world for me! 😂

This dance practice show us how "liquid and fluid" are his movements, the choreo is just beautiful and really enhances the lyrics. I personally prefer his regular backup dancers, you can see how good they move with Jimin, very aware of the emotions they are projecting with the song. Nothing against the dancers at Jimmy Fallon's show, they were great too but it's a good way to compare the delicacy of movements and details.

You know, I thought the exact same thing about the dancers... but then on rewatching the Jimmy Fallon stage I realized that there's several things affecting the quality of the dancing, and it's not the performers. First, whoever put Jimin in a blazer for this choreo did him dirty, because it obscures a lot of those subtle body and shoulder movements. Second, since he was singing live, he had to hold back a bit to stay stable. And then of course, the dynamic camera angles, while designed to enhance the drama, just sort of... distracted, IMO. Having watched the dancers more closely, I think the American ones are every bit as good as the Koreans... they're sharp, they've got the necessary attitude, and the diversity is just eye pleasing. 🔥🔥 But the dance practice is obviously cleaner... without all those distractions I mentioned, they're just flawless.

[Theory, yes it's long] Someone said there was 4 women and 4 men, balanced, representing his feminine and masculine side. I think the men and women paired together strengthens this point since it represents two halves making one whole. This theory got a bit complex but when the women surround jimin and start tugging on his shoulder, I guess it represents his hardships and struggles with being openly feminine or the hatred he gets for it. Said many were so focused on the women, they nearly completely ignored how much he was also touched by the men as well. Also, when he has a solo dance with the woman, I guess that also represents a mirror. (OR, see how she's backing up, also could represent him "chasing" his femininity) Again, finding the balance with femininity and masculinity. 3:59, He's trying to get away to be himself but is held back. At 2:18, that's his femininity being pulled in, then that's when the world has "problems" with it and start beating him to the ground. Also, the women do a bit of the chorus of SMFP2 implying "set me free from this!!!" When only the male dancers are dancing, it's his masculinity, when it's only women dancing, it's his femininity. And when they come together, well then it's both. In conclusion at the end, the "men" try to hold onto the "women" but they pull away and then walk away, then the men walk away, then it's just Jimin....alone....and funny enough the next track is ALONE 💀There's more to this theory, fill in the blanks with your own imagination, and remember to link the lyrics with the dancing as well, but I saw this choreography completely different once I heard this theory. They were all supposed to represent different versions of himself. This theory also applies to the MV itself. The muddy hand, the muddy walls, the woman who looks a lot like jimin in the club....all him. It's left up to our own interpretation, take this all with a grain of salt, I just really wanted to share 😂

If you don't know, this choreography is brilliant. Just as brilliant as the Set Me Free choreography, but in its own style and scale and genre. This is my favorite. The MV is so full of visuals and symbolism that I got lost. I woke up the next day and couldn't remember the song. With this unproduced version, I can't get the song out of my head. I'm still humming it. And I love it even more. I like this even better than the highly produced version performed on the Jimmy Falln show. Again the set, the costumes, the set, the camera angles, and edits are distracting. In this version. We see all of Jimin portraying the storyline. We clearly see his eyes, his facial expressions, his body, his emotions, and his acting. When he turns and walks toward that one female dancer you can see Jimin switch gears in his determination to face her. He is absolutely brilliant. I can't say that enough. I know I'm over using that word, but it's true. Because he makes this simple choreography look easy and breezy. He floats and glides and slides so smoothly like I've haven't seen in awhile. Because it's simple choreo you would think anyone could do it. But no. Maybe they can do the moves, but not with the same fluidity because of Jimin's Contemporary dance training. Cool, feather like, flying, loose, free, unhinged, and floating are some words other reactors have expressed. I agree. Another analogy. The other versions are like too much sweet sticky icing on a cake. This is just perfect. And if Jimin did this in concert this is what we would see. Kudos to the backup dancers who compliment Jimin and let him shine. Ok guys. Did you catch the brief moment of "Butter" choreography? Jimin is so good that I feel he could become the #1 entertainer and singer in the world. He is the equal to Michael Jackson in his own way. My opinion. But sadly, I don't think Jimin has that ambition. He clearly states in his interview with Suga that he can't wait until 2025 so he can get back together with all of BTS. He likes this opportunity to improve in areas he still feels he is weak. But he just wants to be surrounded by his brothers. Jimin, thank you for sharing your inspiring art and artistry! It was so cute that Nico was so absorbed he didn’t notice the dancers were different! I think I like this crew in Korea, especially the lead female dancer, better than the ones they used for Jimmy Fallon show in NYC. She seemed to be smoother and more comfortable working with Jimin. Not sure if the NYC crew all came from same company and they had such a short time working with Jimin. BUT - they both were fire and Jimin always is - such a smooth operator and yes I saw the Michael Jackson moves he was making! This song is a dark, depressing song in disguise with an uptempo. The story of someone lost and trying to escape his depression by losing himself in the light of the nightlife and alcohol but it doesn't really work then he goes back home (and repeat the same thing again and again see set me free part 2) That's why he is asking himself at the end of the song what's the point? Really loove it. This album is a masterpiece but my fav song is letter vocally and lyrically. Letter is so emotional and poetic. Please check it out.

Oh... my.. god... I am in love with this song's choreography!!!! Man... what lucky ladies those dancers are who at the top of it get to touch Jimin!!! One puts her hand on his chest and then his cheek... and the other on his knee and up his hip! I love that the back up dancers are men and women ... the dynamic is so fresh and different from what we're used to. And yeah... I don't notice race in dancers either. Watch the performance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon... all the back up dancers are different genders and races... it's great.... "Dance practices always reveal so much" -- Jimin's mirrored dance with his female partner is so much better in this practice than on the Fallon show! It really drives home the idea that he is facing himself. She feels like both an embodiment of Jimin's pandemic-era struggles and a nod to Jung's concept of anima. I love how the members' solo work continues to reference their themes as a whole even as they explore their individuality.
