War is the most conflicting occurrence imaginable. At the same time it's a demonstration of the ultimate bravery to risk your life for what you believe in and a demonstration of the ultimate failure of having no other option. It's a display of incredible ingenuity that leads us to many inventions, while being a display of the utmost stupidity. It's cooperation at its highest level, while being a disagreement between parties of the highest order. Truly, what is the human condition, if not war?

@omskayawithout the Lend Lease program through the Americans the Soviet Union wouldn’t have had enough materials, machines, and other essential wartime items to keep their armies supplied and mobile. Even though current Russian politicians won’t admit that the American war economy helped the Soviet Union win in WW2, those that served and led the Soviet military in WW2 including Zhukov and Khrushchev have stated that the Soviet Military wouldn’t have been victorious without the Lend Lease program.

@@BobbyBoucher228the war was fought with Soviet blood and American money or something like that idk i don't remember. But from what i do know is that the Soviets did A LOT of fighting compared to the other allies which must not be overlooked.
@BobbyBoucher228 Жыл бұрын
@@Eric0225 I never said that the Soviet army and civilian population didn’t sacrifice more than any other Allied nation, you said that. All I said is that without American manufacturing support the Soviets may not have won which nobody who served in the Soviet army during WW2 denied but current Russian leaders certainly downplay or pretend like it wasn’t a big factor in the Red Army defeating the Nazis in WW2. Let’s not forget that most European Armies were still mainly horse powered at the outbreak of hostilities in WW2 including the Soviets and the US giving the Soviets thousands of Studebaker trucks changed the logistical capabilities of the Soviets when those trucks arrived along with many other war machines as well.

I admit this is the best thing I've ever watched..I even wanted to cry watching this..I have long since forgotten about the World War II games I played when I was 3 years old. However, one thing is for sure, this story will continue to be passed on from generation to generation.. even if it is a Less compared to others in today's sophisticated era..I admit maybe I'm a weird girl who likes war stories because well a lot of guys like war stories... But one thing is for sure.. "..They really want to meet and be with their families and loved ones but they can't for the sake of protecting their homeland. .." Sorry my English is bad.

World War Two - what an amazing, terrifying, glorious, agonizing, hubris time to have been alive. I rode the Victory Tour B17G this summer (just two days before the other B17G crashed in Connecticut). There was absolutely NOTHING comfortable about that plane. Everything was hard. Everything was cold. It was loud, DEAFENING! It shook, vibrated, and jostled. The wind for take-off was less than ideal, and the plane bucked, pissed, and moaned until it was airborne. My brother and I sat in the bomber seats. That large Plexiglas screen was the only thing between us and the air. A small portal was opened and you could stick your hand through, feeling the wind whizzing by. That plane had two purposes - defend itself as best as it could (machine gun sticking out of every window - and delivering those bombs. That's it. EVERYTHING else was expendable, including the crew! It was the most profound experience I've had in my life. And it made me acquire an even deeper respect for our armed airmen, servicemen and women. In WWII, we asked them to do . . . . the IMPOSSIBLE, frankly, and those boys did it! We, ALL of us spoiled rotten brats owe them more than we could ever pay. My deepest heart felt respect to ALL of you men AND women who paid for our freedom with everything you had. A million Thank Yous are not enough!!

We admire soldiers for their brave actions, they may seem fearless, brave, skillful. But that doesn't means that they are not scared. Yes, they are scared of dying. But what what they fear most is when their country gets destroyed, their loved ones dies and the feeling of their loved ones when they don't come back from war.
