After reading some of the comments here, it makes me wonder just how funny those commenters are. After all, it's so easy to criticize when you don't have to produce anything yourself. I think over all, the voices are spot on. And people really need to understand...this was recorded live and not only were they doing impressions of famous people, they were improvising a conversation between two of these people in an unusual setting. That doesn't always work. But, I think most people understand that. Any form of improv is really best seen in a live setting, because once it's recorded, those creative juices that the audience experienced are lost on some of the KZbin crowd who assume it was rehearsed. I'm an improv musician. I don't do impressions. I have a butt load of VSTs that I can utilize to stimulate my creative flow. I just start playing and everybody in the audience goes on the ride with me. Sometimes it's great and sometimes it's not. That's just the nature of improv. I'm sure, if someone were to record one of my shows, there would be those same KZbin people to say maybe I was OK, but it would be better if I played something they've heard before. You just don't get it, people. Improv is only there for an instant and it really is best experienced in the way this audience experienced it. You become a part of the show, your laughs inspire creativity. Great job, Angela and Jim. Your improv conversations as famous people are funny, and I'm only seeing it on KZbin. I'll bet it was even better to experience live, as it happened. Wish I could have been there to see it. Maybe my laughs could have inspired even more creativity in you two.
